Your pre-event checklist

When does the event take place?

Wednesday 4 December

  • Registration for our Meet the Buyer and Conference opens from 10am - 12pm in the Hotel Lobby. After 12pm, Conference registration will take place in the Palace Foyer
  • Our Meet the Buyer event starts at 11am in the Lancaster Suite and Berties Bar
  • The networking lunch starts at 12.30pm in the Palace Foyer
  • The Conference sessions begin at 1.30pm and finish at 6.30pm (click here to view the full agenda)
  • The Awards Dinner Happy Hour begins at 6.30pm sponsored by GrayMeta

  • Dinner and Awards begins at 8pm and will finish at approx 10.30 - Please note, this part of the event is ticketed and access will only be permitted to those delegates with the appropriate pass (Full Conference or a specific awards dinner ticket which can be purchased here).

Thursday 5 December

  • Registration open from 8.15am in the Palace Foyer with Tea and Coffee

  • The Conference sessions begin at 8.45am (click here to view the full agenda) and finish at 1.30pm, followed by a networking lunch

Where does the event take place?

How do I get to the Royal Garden Hotel?

By Car
The hotel has an NCP operated car park right below which is open 24 hours and has 160 spaces. Please book the car park via the link available here using the promotional code RGH22ONLINE to get a discounted rate of £48.00 for 24 hours and note that the maximum height is 1.75m. The car park has to be booked through NCP. We recommend to book in advance minimum 48 hours prior to arrival. 

By Underground
Nearest Tube Stations

  • High Street Kensington - 4 minute walk
  • Notting Hill Gate - 8 minute walk

Kings Cross / St Pancras International (Eurostar) (30 mins)
Head to the Kings Cross St. Pancras underground station and take a westbound Circle Line tube to High Street Kensington Station. From here turn right onto Kensington High Street and the hotel is a five-minute walk on the left hand side.

Euston (30 mins)
Walk to Euston Square tube station (roughly a five-minute journey) and take the Circle Line westbound to High Street Kensington Station, turn right onto Kensington High Street and our hotel is roughly a five-minute walk away on your left.

Paddington (20 mins)
Head to the station's underground and take the Circle Line westbound to High Street Kensington Station. Turn right on to the high street when you leave the station, walk for five minutes and you will find us on your left.

Victoria (20 mins)
From Victoria's underground station take the Circle Line westbound to High Street Kensington Station and follow the walking directions above. Alternatively, you can take the number 52 bus from Victoria to our hotel.

By Bus
The following bus routes all serve the hotel:

  • Number 9 - From Aldywch, via Trafalgar Square and Hyde Park Corner, past the Royal Garden Hotel and on to Hammersmith
  • Number 10 - From Kings Cross Station via Oxford Street, Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner past the Royal Garden Hotel and on to Hammersmith
  • Number 52 - From Victoria Station via Hyde Park Corner, past the Royal Garden Hotel and on to Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill
  • Number 49 - From Kings Road, Chelsea via South Kensington past the Royal Garden Hotel and on to Shepherd’s Bush

Will I be sent a ticket or pass?

You do not need to bring a physical ticket with you. Delegate information will be sent to all registered delegates prior to the event, if you don't receive these then please email marketing@theiabm.org

If you are attending the Meet the Buyer event on Wednesday, upon arrival,  please head to the Hotel Lobby for registration from 10am. For the main Conference, please head to the Palace Foyer from 12pm on Wednesday (8.15am on Thursday) where you can collect your delegate badge.

I have booked accommodation, how do I check in at the hotel?

Delegates who arrive to the hotel for the conference lunch are likely find that they have to wait for their room to be ready for check in (14:00). Delegates should still register at Reception, by signing registration card and providing contact details as well as credit card (optional) for incidentals. Their room will be then put on a Queue system and once it is ready we can give them a call. Guests will have to go to the Front Desk to collect their own keys once the rooms become ready.

Check out time is 12 noon with late check out subject to availability.

Delegates travelling from overseas will need their passport for identification purposes (hotel policy).

Please note, all extras incurred must be settled by the individual.

I need to send dietary requirements

For the Awards Dinner, we will be serving the following:

Starter
Smoked haddock brandade cake, tomato and olive salsa with coriander oil

Vegetarian Starter
Fine tart of sweet tomatoes, Chèvre goat’s cheese, rocket and balsamic salad

Main Course
Poached breast of free range chicken, ragout of white bean, mushrooms, sun blushed tomatoes and broad beans, pumpkin puree, herb gnocchi and tarragon cream sauce

Vegetarian Main Course
Roasted vegetable and mozzarella lasagne, warm cherry tomato and sweet red onion salad

Dessert
Sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce, maple ice cream

Tea/Coffee and Petit Fours

We are able to accommodate any special dietary requirements you may have. Please contact marketing@theiabm.org no later than Friday 29 November so the hotel is able to prepare in advance.

Is there a dress code?

We want our delegates to be relaxed and comfortable during the event so smart casual is fine. For the Awards Dinner, think fabulous and stylish!

Can I store my luggage and coats?

Please visit the hotel concierge where this service is available free of charge. 

I haven't received my invoice or receipt

Please email accounts@theiabm.org and our finance department will be able to sort this out for you.

I need to cancel my ticket

As per our booking terms and conditions:

  • Cancellations less than 30 days prior to the conference will require payment in full
  • Substitutions may be made up to 4.00 pm on 2nd December 2019 without penalty
