Brainstorm, leading manufacturer in real-time 3D graphics solutions, XR/VR/AR, and virtual production, is strengthening its collaboration with SNEWS to go beyond news systems. This enhanced collaboration builds upon the compatibility of Neuron with the SNEWS Arion system, using HTML5, and now integrates Brainstorm’s Aston 2D graphics suite.
Aston 2D, an affordable version of the powerful Aston software, is tailored for 2D environments, enabling designers to create news graphics, CG, and titling without the complexities of 3D systems. It offers essential Aston features, such as template management and intuitive animation with StormLogic, without requiring advanced knowledge of 3D creation, lighting or scenes, simplifying and speeding up 2D graphic production.
Borja Chirivella, Brainstorm’s Sales and Channel Management Director, highlighted the speed and efficiency of the collaboration: “SNEWS’s willingness to develop joint solutions allowed us to integrate Neuron with Arion in record time. Customers appreciate this solution for its power and versatility, and integrating Aston 2D makes our joint offering even more robust, providing more tools and flexibility.”
SNEWS CEO Rodrigo Brasiel emphasized the partnership’s benefits for clients: “The integration of Aston 2D with the Arion NRCS system allows us to offer a powerful and versatile graphics solution that is also efficient and easy to use. We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration opens up in the broadcasting market.”
The partnership between Brainstorm and SNEWS was announced at NAB 2024, where Neuron, Brainstorm’s news system, was adapted to HTML5 for compatibility with Arion. With the addition of Aston 2D, the two companies expand their offering to clients across a wide range of television programming, not just in news.
