Sony launches Rewrite The Future digital engagement programme
Fri 25, 09 2020
On September 2nd, Sony launched its interactive online campaign, called Rewrite the Future, to provide opportunities for customers and the industry to interact with the brand, in a context of social distancing and thus fewer opportunities for crucial face to face interactions.
The Rewrite The Future experience is a rolling programme of on-line content and events that looks at how the industry can adapt to a world being transformed by new technology and new audience desires, and the pandemic. Covid had a dramatic effect on our industry but many of the recent changes were already happening.
Be it the explosion of social media, the desire for more flexible work and working from different locations, the hunger for more content, better stories and more exciting entertainment or the desire to consume content, across different platforms, all these trends were already shaping the industry. They have now been accelerated. IP, 5G, AI and Sony’s ability to deliver more and better pixels in more efficient ways were already fuelling those changes.
The Rewrite the Future experience will cover a wide range of inspiring insight from some of our smartest people and most innovative customers that cover three core themes:
1. Remote collaboration – how do you create great content with people working from multiple locations
2. Agility – how do you get content from capture to multiple platforms faster, more effortlessly
3. Content enhancement – how you make content that is differentiated, when the conditions for capturing it have been compromised?
In addition, there will be exciting new announcements, such as the Cinema Line launch and there will be new production, network and cloud-based products and solutions coming soon. Alongside this, there will be numerous opportunities to interact digitally and speak with Sony and industry peers.
