TAG’s Multi-Channel Monitoring Earns JT-NM Tested Badges

Tel Aviv, Israel – September 6, 2022 – TAG Video Systems, the leader in software-based IP end-to-end monitoring, deep probing, logging, and real time visualization solutions, has announced that its Multi-Channel Monitoring (MCM) system has successfully completed the JT-NM Tested Program 2022, a rigorous and managed testing process that puts IP equipment through its paces to evaluate conformity to the SMPTE ST 2110 suite of standards and AMWA NMOS specifications, and interoperability with other vendor’s products. The event was hosted by Riedel Communications in Wuppertal, Germany from 22-26 August 2022 where testing was conducted and results validated by third-party testers.

The JT-NM (Joint Taskforce on Network Media) is a self-coordinating group of industry bodies working together on the development of IP technologies for professional media systems. Members of the governing body include the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the Video Services Forum (VSF). The JT-NM Tested Program offers documented insight into how vendor equipment conforms to specific SMPTE standards, AMWA NMOS Specifications and behaves in selected real-world scenarios.  The vendor results along with a detailed test plan are published in the JT-NM Tested Catalog, serving as a public guide to products that have met the criteria established by the JT-NM.

TAG’s MCM was tested through a detailed test process which required each eligible product to be tested live for compliance with SMPTE ST 2110 and AMWA NMOS in a laboratory setting in the presence of independent supervisors. A JT-NM badge is unmistakable proof that a product was tested against SMPTE ST 2110 and AMWA NMOS and proven to be fully compliant.

“These badges are earned at the end of a highly respected, elaborate and comprehensive process with rigid criteria administered by an impartial third-party,“  said Kevin Joyce, Zero Friction Officer at TAG. “When a media company selects a product with a JT-NM badge, they know that the product has been tested thoroughly for key capabilities and has met the necessary requirements to earn that badge. As buyers, they benefit from a simplified purchasing process that allows them to make better-informed purchasing decisions, and the knowledge that they are  getting the latest, most advanced technology, such as SMPTE ST 2110 –  so they can build out their business strategy with confidence.”

“We are also proud to report that our MCM’s capacity to interoperate with other solutions was demonstrated in this challenging environment. TAG’s ability to interoperate, integrate and easily communicate with other equipment is crucially important to our customers and we will continue to prioritize those capabilities.“
