The European Commission’s “Guide for the EMC Directive” was referenced in May 2018, Issue 158 of this newsletter and, for this issue, Alex Martin of RINA has very kindly prepared a detailed discussion of the advice provided in the Guide, looking at “inherently benign equipment”, “custom built evaluation kits” and “components/sub-assemblies” as well as clarifying the use of harmonised standards.
