For the first time, The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has honored Dell Technologies with a Technology & Engineering Emmy® Award for its Dell EMC Isilon data storage array, specifically recognizing the company for its early development of hierarchical storage management systems.
Since 2003, over 2000 global organizations, including broadcasters, post and VFX houses across 82 countries have invested in Dell EMC Isilon’s scale-out architecture to drive innovation in media workflows.
In the last three years, Dell EMC media and entertainment customers have used over 1.5 exabytes of Isilon storage in the past three years alone. Customers include Lightstorm Entertainment (the production house behind James Cameron’s Avatar), NBC Sports Group, and Important Looking Pirates
