UK — 12 January 2023 Peter White announced today that he will be standing down as CEO of IABM in the coming months.
He said, “I have been CEO of IABM for over thirteen years now and I feel it’s time I used my experience of this industry and that gained over a long career as CEO of a wide variety of manufacturing and technology companies and associations in a different way.”
During White’s tenure IABM has enjoyed extraordinary international growth and has in recent times successfully navigated the enormous challenges presented by the COVID pandemic. White continues “I think it’s time now for a new chapter in my career and having seen through many of the challenges presented by COVID it is also time for IABM to look to a new future under a new CEO.” White will stay alongside IABM for a period helping it transition to a new leadership.
He continues “I have agreed to provide some of my time for a period supporting and helping a smooth transition for IABM but will also be looking to share my experience with other organisations within the sector and both the wider commercial and not for profit sectors. I am particularly keen to apply my knowledge and experience in NED and interim roles to help organisations successfully navigate the challenges that may face them and build a solid growth trajectory. I am really excited about this next chapter in my career.”
IABM will now seek a replacement for White over the next few months.
“We as the representatives of the members of the IABM cannot thank Peter enough for all he has contributed to our organisation. Under his leadership, the IABM developed into a truly international representation of the broadcast and media industry, being by far the largest vendor representation in our place. There are so many great achievements he accomplished in these 13 years that its merely impossible to list them. We have to honour his decision and wish him all the best for his next step. We appreciate that he will not just disappear but support us in steering the IABM through this migration period” says Andreas Hilmer, Chairman of the IABM Members Board.
