PETERSFIELD, UK — InSync Technology, the leading provider of high-quality video processing technology, today announced that it has developed a world first for the openGear modular platform. For the first time, traditional broadcasters and Pro-AV broadcasters can benefit from motion compensated frame rate conversion (MCC), designed for high quality video contribution or distribution, in the compact openGear modular platform.
The new InGear MCC card delivers InSync’s renown conversion quality in a more compact form which sees 10 channels of motion compensated conversion in a two rack unit (2RU) chassis. This unparalleled channel density, coupled with low power requirements, makes the delivery of high quality video standards conversion even more accessible from a capital cost, operating cost and space saving perspective.
Whether a traditional or corporate, brand or Pro-AV broadcaster, this high-end conversion technology is available to ensure that the frame rates and formats match the device and the region in which they are viewed – important if you value the quality of viewer experience and don’t want the blurring, jarring or frankly not being able to see the action clearly on a large or small screen. If you generate revenue from subscribers, advertisers, on-screen sponsors, they want to see the action clearly and that their brand assets are clear, clean and visible for as long as they are on-screen. InSync’s technology protects the video value and integrity and the revenue payers experience.
The openGear modular platform offers an array of different manufacturers and solution providers for video signal processing providing customers choice of the technology providers for different areas of video signal processing.
James Taylor, CEO of InSync explains the introduction of the InGear modular card, “We have listened to our traditional customers in broadcast, and now our new customers in the pro-AV and corporate markets who want the quality standards conversion we produce in a more accessible and compact form. Whether you’re a mainstream broadcaster with hundreds of channels, a corporate brand wishing to have a direct to consumer channel with quality video, or a house of worship looking for international distribution, the new InGear MCC product will ensure your viewers will get a quality video experience without blurring, distortions or artefacts that disrupt the viewing experience due to unmatched device inputs or poor video conversion attempts in the workflow”,
InSync will show the InGear MCC module and openGear chassis at NAB 2025 in Las vegas, from 6-9 April at Booth W2421 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
