Cobalt continues to upgrade its decoder series with the Company’s 9992-DEC-4K-HEVC, an award-winning software defined broadcast decoder perfect for sports, news gathering, video contribution and affiliate distribution. The openGear® card supports MPEG-2, AVC (H.264) and HEVC (H.265), with resolution up to 4K, and a full complement of audio decoding capabilities up to 32 channels. The module features a flexible licensing structure allowing customers to manage CAPEX while allowing room for future growth as their needs change. RIST enabled, the decoder – companion to Cobalt’s 9992-ENC-4K-HEVC encoder, provides an ideal platform for transitioning to state-of-the-art decoding capabilities.
