The Device Management Service will leverage the use of User-Data in order to populate or look-up matching device information records in the database to provide the right access to an application.
This provides service providers with a solution to ensure that only devices they approve can access the application or certain features of an application. For example, a certain device may not support 4K content and with the service’s auto-matching capability that device can be granted access to all content except 4K. This will ensure that the end user has a much better user experience that is matched to the capability of their device.
Furthermore, the different device information can help customer services and operational teams improve their applications and processes by providing additional data on how end users are using and interacting with the platform.
