In this interview, Hammerspace’s Floyd Christofferson discusses ways productions can bridge multi-vendor data silos, locations, and clouds to become more flexible, accelerate workflows, and cut costs.
Today data can become trapped in silos or locations, causing data gravity and increasing operational complexity. This problem limits how productions can adapt to changing requirements, enable remote collaboration, and often even limits taking on new projects.
Overcoming data gravity transparent to user access enables productions to focus on accelerating workflows, and not wrangling data across vendor silos. This also enables them to ramp up or down resources as needed to contain costs.
