IABM is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Evans as Head of Knowledge and Insight. In his new role, Evans is responsible for the curation and management of knowledge in IABM, the management and direction of IABM’s insight and analysis, and managing the IABM Business Intelligence team.

Evans has primary responsibility for the identification, creation and deployment of IABM business intelligence reports that provide sector performance, trends including supply and demand data and media technology trends in the broadcast and media technology industry worldwide.

After graduating in 2016 from the University of Southampton with First Class Honours in Film and English, Evans joined Futuresource Consulting in 2017 as a Research Analyst. Promoted to Market Analyst in 2019, in 2021 he became a Senior Market Analyst and Head of the Pro Video & Broadcast research team, and in 2024, was promoted to Principal Analyst. Evans has also worked in video and audio production as a writer, videographer and producer, as well as in music journalism. He also has extensive experience presenting research findings to audiences at major broadcast and media events.

“Throughout my career in market intelligence I’ve been embedded in the broadcast and media entertainment industry and I am proud to be joining such a widely respected organization as the IABM,” said Chris Evans. “The proliferation of video technology in our day-to-day lives and evolving ways in which we create and consume media continues to drive a need for market intelligence in this sector that can inform and inspire, now more than ever. I am looking forward to leading the Business Intelligence Unit to deliver an impactful and insightful research portfolio to IABM members.”

“Our members greatly value the insights and analysis our Business Intelligence team provides in helping them make smart decisions and do better business. This is due to the hard work and inspiration of our previous Head of Knowledge, Lorenzo Zanni, who built what has become a world-class knowledge resource for our industry,” said Lucinda Meek, IABM Chief Finance and Operations Officer.

“Chris’s depth of experience and leadership ability will enable us to take this to the next level, and his presentation skills will help us bring it to a much wider audience. I am certain Chris’s appointment will be welcomed by all our members; he will make a noticeable impact on our ability to support our members as they navigate the accelerating evolution and convergence of the MediaTech industry,” Meek concluded.
