hi human interface transforms media control

Thu 03, 08 2023

Bingen, Germany, 2 August 2023: hi human interface, the first intuitive control software for AV media and proven globally with more than 250 installations, will unveil the latest additions to the toolkit at IBC2023 (15 – 18 September, RAI Amsterdam) on stand 10.D41.

The user interface is designed to be streamlined and intuitive – like using a smartphone. Simplicity, though, does not compromise on the rich functionalities beneath the surface. Scaling from a small streaming operation to the largest media enterprises, hi provides full cross-platform control. With a complete overview of systems and as many stored routing panel-presets as needed, live operations become simple.

Vendor agnostic, it seamlessly integrates multiple vendors and control protocols into a single clear view, giving the user realtime information about the systems and building presets to initiate complex actions with a single click. This ranges from router switching to tally information, multiviewer layouts and signal parameter control.

New at IBC2023 is the integration with Grass Valley’s AMPP platform. GV AMPP is a scalable production tool, and hi provides the perfect route to streamline workflows. As a first step the initial integration will include basic routing, with more advanced workflows to come.

hi human interface also now offers NDI integration, including device discovery, so an NDI device simply needs to be connected to the network to be identified by hi, add it as an input, and provide control through the graphical user interface.

IBC2023 also sees the addition of Power Widgets to the platform. Power Widgets make control even more easy and intuitive by allowing control of even more devices from one user interface. The first Power Widgets to be released will be PTZ control, video server control and audio faders. Visitors to the stand can discuss their requirements for Power Widgets and learn more about future options.

“hi is a fresh and modern approach to system control for live broadcast and AV applications,” said Petrus Palola, global sales director of hi human interface. “You have to see hi and try it to grasp just how powerful and intuitive it is. IBC is the ideal venue for visitors from around the world to come and talk to us and learn more!”
