Cloud, Cold & Close: Unifying Storage Silos for Creative Workflows

With the mass exodus from office and studio space in 2020, working remotely became the new normal for many organizations. By increasing their storage footprint in the public cloud, many organizations ended up with a new type of storage silo—with content stored in the cloud, on cold storage (such as tape) and close (on-prem in SAN, NAS, etc.). To be successful in 2021 and beyond, those same organizations will need to address unifying disparate storage mediums/locations, particularly in the case of creative workflows. They must also consider the most secure and cost-effective way to store and manage digital assets throughout their lifecycle.
