Interoperable, standards-based HAND Talent IDs for notable human, virtual, fictional talent in entertainment, sports, and beyond – rolling out to existing Fabric customers

New York, NY, March 13, 2024 – HAND (Human & Digital), the first global Talent ID registry for efficient discoverability, royalty collection and revenue tracking of legal and natural persons, their digital replicas, and fictional characters in entertainment, sports, fashion, and more –  has announced the debut of their unique, resolvable Talent identifiers in the Fabric database. Fabric has integrated the HAND Talent ID’s and APIs into their platform, enabling their customers to search, match, and eventually create their own resolvable, unique HAND Talent IDs from within the Fabric interface.

Fabric, a cloud platform that allows customers to manage editorial, technical, and other metadata about TV shows, movies, documentaries, games and more, is a market leader in both metadata management and content data provision, with a wealth of integrations, partnerships and experience with organizations ranging from Hollywood Studios to independent content owners.

“We’re delighted to be working with Fabric to roll-out the interoperable, ISO-level HAND Talent ID to Fabric’s stellar customers,” said Will Kreth, CEO & Founder of HAND. “Resolvable HAND Talent IDs are based on the same unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier) technology that the film & TV industry is already familiar with (from EIDR – the Entertainment Identifier Registry) and we’re looking forward to seeing HAND Talent IDs used for critical production and distribution workflows across the media industry.”

“Fabric has been an early partner with HAND, and we’re excited to take this next important step with them as they grow,” said Rob Delf, CEO of Fabric. “We’re big believers in offering our customers the best contextual title and talent metadata – and the value of persistent, standards-based IDs in our workflows for the award-winning titles we manage is tremendously valuable to us. We look forward to offering an increasing number of HAND Talent IDs to our customers in the months to come.”

HAND (Human & Digital) is a B2B SaaS-based developer of an identity intelligence technology designed for talent provenance verification and supply-chain automation by tagging/labeling quantifiably notable public figures with an interoperable, ISO-level unique identifier. It enables cost savings and revenue acceleration of talent utilization – simplifying and streamlining licensing of name, image and likeness (NIL) rights – in both real world and virtual productions. The HAND Talent ID is currently used to identify legal-entity Humans, their connected virtual Digital Replicas, and Fictional Characters in entertainment, sports, gaming, fashion, politics, and more.
