IABM at NAB Show 2024

Wed 27, 03 2024

Comprehensive range of activities and services to help members do better business

IABM, the international trade and business association for broadcast and media technology, will be out in force at NAB Show 2024 to support the many member companies who are exhibiting at the show and help them do better business. Member services at the show include lounges, meeting rooms and IABM TV.

IABM is also hosting its show-opening State of the Industry breakfast session and distributing its latest State of MediaTech strategic report at the show, featuring up to the moment insight and analysis of the current and future direction of the industry.

IABM will also be unveiling not just a new look and feel at NAB Show, but critically, a whole new structure for how the association will be supporting members going forward, with the emphasis laser-focused on helping them do better business, with a particular eye for growth opportunities in the Enterprise AV market.

State of the Industry breakfast briefing – Sunday April 14, 8.00am

Westgate Hotel, Rooms D and E

The State of the Industry breakfast briefing opens with IABM’s Head of Knowledge, Lorenzo Zanni, reviewing the key drivers of change in MediaTech, including an analysis of the impact of macro headwinds on the market and data-driven insights on MediaTech investment patterns – underpinned by the extensive research carried out to produce the State of MediaTech strategic report.

An industry panel session follows – moderated by IABM Head of Skills & Development, Stuart Ray – with leaders from both tech vendors and media companies discussing what the strategic report’s findings mean for their businesses, and how they are responding to the challenges and opportunities it uncovers.

Stan Moote, IABM CTO, rounds out the Breakfast briefing with a round table of industry experts discussing the latest update to the IABM Technology and Trends Roadmap, which many companies use to inform their strategic technology and business planning.

The IABM State of the Industry breakfast session is currently fully booked; members can however add their names to the cancellations waiting list here.

IABM member lounges

The IABM member lounges at NAB Show 2024 are at N110LMR and W236LMR. With ample seating and Wi-Fi available, the lounges are a great location for members to conduct meetings away from the booth or to catch up on business in a quiet, stress-free environment. The member lounges also hosts the pre-booked meeting rooms – always a hugely popular feature. There are still a few slots left – book here.

BaM Awards®

The judges will be visiting shortlisted BaM Awards® members’ booths in the opening days of the show and the winners will be presented with their awards on their booths on Tuesday 16 April.

IABM TV

This year we have two IABM TV locations due to the large footprint of the show. IABM TV interviews with members in Central and South halls will take place in our lounge N110LMR, and interviews with members in the West Hall will take place on their booths. Both are entirely focused on relaying members’ news from the show. After the show, all the content will be added to the Knowledge Hub on the IABM website – the industry’s most comprehensive and up-to-the-minute reference resource. While all slots are currently booked, members can join the cancellations waiting list here.

Meet the IABM team

Seven members of the IABM team are attending NAB Show 2024; member companies and those wishing to discuss the benefits of membership can book a meeting with an IABM team member here.

“We are entirely focused on helping all our members get the very most out of their investment in this year’s NAB Show,” said Darren Whitehead, IABM Director of Sales and Marketing. “The IABM team is very much looking forward to reconnecting with members at the State of Industry briefing, in the two member lounges and around the show floor, and I encourage everyone to book a meeting with one of the team at the show to explore how we can best support them in their quest to do ever-better business.”
