The Shotoku SE series has evolved from a concept of providing high functionality and application flexibility in a support system designed for the extended range of HD/4K camera systems available today. It features lightweight, robust construction for smooth and reliable operation, a high-quality drag system to ensure smooth on-air moves, and a multiple level counterbalance system to ensure accurate balancing of a wide range of cameras. The SE80 supports up to 10kg (22 lbs), has 8 levels of counterbalance, and 4 grades of drag.


The SE150 supports up to 16kg (35 lbs), has 10 levels of counterbalance, and 6 grades of drag.

Shotoku’s SmartPed now features Absolute Navigation, perfect for applications where referencing the fully robotic pedestal is inconvenient or the design of the studio leaves no scope for a fixed reference position.  SmartPed now comes with two optional additions depending on the environment:

·       AN-I is an IP interface within SmartPed enabling it to interface to existing external optical tracking systems such as Mosys StarTracker™ or Stype RedSpy™ using the absolute tracking information to reference and adjust the pedestals own internal navigation systems.

·       AN-S provides a fully integrated solution, including a built-in optical tracking system for situations where customers do not already have installed optical tracking.

Raising the bar on movement quality and shot framing control, the recently launched Shotoku SX200 and SX260 pan and tilt heads incorporate a brand-new design featuring Shotoku’s “Truebalance” for perfect counterbalance that is also easy to adjust throughout the range and has an intuitive display to indicate the current setting.  The drag system uses Shotoku’s well known Viscam design but adds a new actuation system that combines the convenience and speed of selection of a stepped system, with the fine tuning and on-shot adjustment of a continuously variable design. The TR-XT Control System with multiple enhancements further expands the capabilities of this already powerful and intuitive control system.

LiveView

The TR-XT, the flagship control system of the Shotoku platform, offers a new LiveView option that uses a secondary IP video camera to provide a wide-angle scene view for each camera. LiveView enables operators to command heads to new positions simply by touching on a wide-angled live video view of the studio, smoothly repositioning the head towards the selected presenter, guest or other area of interest.

Studio Zones

Studio zones easily define areas within a studio into which cameras may or may not travel.  Zones have a dynamic understanding of studio equipment to avoid no-go areas and potential collisions.  In addition to each SmartPed’s unique on-board collision avoidance system, Studio Zones offers a higher level of control for the operator to ensure smooth and safe operation within the environment.

The Ronin-MX from DJI is dual-use gimbal suitable both for mounting on the Matrice 600 aerial platform as well as deployment closer to the ground. Improving over the Ronin-M, it features magnesium construction to yield high rigidity while keeping the weight down. The gimbal is suitable for cinema cameras, mirrorless cameras, and DSLRs weighing up to 10 pounds. Out of the box it supports two-operator operation and includes a radio controller (transmitter) for the camera operator. A slip ring allows the Ronin-MX to rotate 360° continuously when mounted to aircraft or vehicles, opening up more creative options. This is further enhanced by an increase in tilt-axis range (compared to the Ronin-M) from 90° straight down and beyond to 135°. Popular features of the Ronin series, such as the three modes of operation and SmoothTrack, are also present, giving film makers a range of creative angles and movements.

The Ronin-MX is compatible with Lightbridge 2, providing long-range HD video transmission from the air to the ground from up to 3.1 miles away. If combined with the separately available DJI Focus and Focus Expansion Module, focus or aperture can also be pulled remotely with a twist of the wrist. An optional Remote Start/Stop add-on provides the ability to control shooting on a range of airborne cameras.

• The DJI Ronin-SC Gimbal Stabilizer brings many improvements over its predecessor, the Ronin-S, with this smaller and lighter stabilized, three-axis single-handle gimbal, designed for small mirrorless cameras under 4.4 lb. Though the Ronin-SC is smaller, it packs an abundance of features, design enhancements, and technology inside its compact form. Using the Android or iOS app over Bluetooth 5.0, Active Track 3.0 has been updated to help users track a subject with the gimbal without having to use any controls at all. Another handy function is DJI's Force Mobile, which allows you to control your gimbal's motion when it's mounted on a rig or tripod using the gyroscope of your smartphone, allowing you to perform more precise gimbal movements using your own natural motion. Other built-in features include time-lapse and motion-lapse modes.The Ronin-SC is powered by a 2450mAh rechargeable 18650 LiPo battery built into its handle, which lasts up to 11 hours on a single charge. It is charged via a USB Type-C port and can also provide camera control such as run/stop or focus pulling using one of the included multiport USB cables connected to a compatible camera. Raising the bar on movement quality and shot framing control, the recently launched Shotoku SX200 and SX260 pan and tilt heads incorporate a brand-new design featuring Shotoku’s “Truebalance” for perfect counterbalance that is also easy to adjust throughout the range and has an intuitive display to indicate the current setting.  The drag system uses Shotoku’s well known Viscam design but adds a new actuation system that combines the convenience and speed of selection of a stepped system, with the fine tuning and on-shot adjustment of a continuously variable design. The SX200 has a max payload of 44Lbs (20Kg) and the SX260 55Lbs (25Kg).  The systems come standard with 2 stage ENG Carbon Fibre legs and is one of the lightest on the market at these payloads.
