The new flagship of Sony’s CineAlta family, the Sony VENICE CineAlta 6K Digital Cinema Camera (6K with 6048×4032*), offers an interchangeable PL or E-Mount*, integrated ND filters in 8-stages, 15+ stops of exposure latitude, a wide color gamut and improved color management system.
VENICE will also include a Dual Base ISO mode, supporting an additional High Base ISO of 2500. VSNCrea
VSNCrea is the company’s new software for TV, radio and second-screen traffic and scheduling. It enables the management of a company’s content production catalog, either owned or acquired from third parties, as well as its advertising, production workflows, programming and broadcast planning — all from a single user interface.
VSNCrea has been completely redesigned to offer broadcasters a brand-new, modern and user-friendly web interface that allows them to make quick and accurate decisions about when to broadcast a certain piece of content, thanks to its unified functionalities and workflows in one single interface.
It also provides useful extra information such as analytical data about the actual profitability of the content. As it is HTML5-based, the software will be accessible anytime anywhere from any web browser and device by multiple users simultaneously. Also, the possibility of running this software in the cloud will enhance the ability of users and departments to work together on a more collaborative basis.
The system can be used specifically within TV channels, radio stations or web TV platforms for traffic and scheduling, programming planning, advertising management and control of third-party TV rights acquired for broadcast, among others.
The system also includes a Smart Ads module that simplifies the management of campaigns in an automatic and intelligent way. It allows you to establish broadcast rules by time slots (e.g. children’s content slots) to have greater control over the advertising that is broadcast and even manage different price ranges depending on the time slot and channel.
Other features include the ability to change language within the user interface, the consolidation of the final broadcast and the analysis of the programming and content return on investment (ROI) through analytical reports.
The VSNCrea traffic and scheduling system now also includes a content scheduling module for non-linear channels that allows for easy integration with any non-linear environment (Vod, OTT, Web TV, etc.), as well as a SaaS contracting option.
VSN’s Support Service and Helpdesk
VSN offers to its clients two different support plans, depending on their needs. The basic plan for support service includes assistance 5 days a week from 09.00 to 17.00h, same day replies to the cases opened and free software updates.
The Pro plan for Support Service broadens its technical support assistance up to 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, shortens the time response to 1 hour, gives high priority to all the cases and incidents registered and includes also free software updates for all VSN’s clients.
Since 2017, this support service is managed and provided through an online technical support helpdesk, including information of interest for the clients, such as the validity and date of expiration of their support contracts, the total cases opened, their technical details and their current status. Furthermore, this new platform comprises analytical report to check at all times the number of cases registered in the current month or year.
This support helpdesk, fully developed in HTML5, can also be accessed anytime through the mobile phone.
VSNLivecom
VSNLivecom is a studio playout system based on VSNMulticom‘s engine, VSN’s MCR automation solution with over 25 years of presence in the market. The studio playout controls up to 16 video server channels (4 in A/B/C/D rundown, 4 auxiliary channels and their redundancies). It is MOS compatible and is integrated with most NRCS systems available in the market, like Avid iNews, ENPS, Octopus 8 and Ross Inception amongst others.
VSNLivecom is a playout studio system compatible with the MOS protocol that can be integrated with most third-party NRCS systems currently available in the market. The integration of VSNLivecom with already existing systems is quick and perfect, consolidating a solid and robust playout process.
Its User Interface (UI) allows to operate the system by using multiple screens, as well as to totally customize it to meet the demands of its users, maximizing their experience and helping them to improve productivity. VSNLivecom’s main rundown allows to control up to 4 channels with its corresponding redundancies (8CH in total). Also, there are 4 more multipurpose lists for auxiliary channels (the system can handle up to 8 auxiliary channels) that can be used to launch studio resources, make previews or just for playing out different content to those in the rundown. In this regard, VSNLivecom even includes trim, loop, slow motion and other functionalities to further increase the potential of these auxiliary playlists.
The list of devices and video servers that VSNLivecom controls is inherited from VSNMulticom MCR system, allowing for the support of a very wide range of products. Some of the VDCP servers supported are: VSNOne TV, DVS, Grass Valley K2, Harris Nexio, Harmonic Omneon, Seachange and EVS, among many others.
Its revolutionary architecture has been designed to allow maximum simplicity, reliability, flexibility and high availability, while its client-server architecture allows different clients to connect to the same studio playout engine.
Moreover, VSNLivecom also allows for the configuration and change of the system without affecting the operation. Devices can be stopped without having to interrupt playout. Also it is possible to customize the operation views, for each studio and user and keep the settings for future sessions.
VSNOne TV
VSNOne TV is VSN’s integrated playout or Channel-In-A-Box solution, designed to reduce the many parts of a traditional playout system and master control (graphics, servers and switches, routing, audio, channel branding) into one single integrated software application that operates on a generic IT-based hardware. This way, VSNOne TV allows to simplify its installation and maintenance processes, while supporting real-time multi-channel ingest to a wide range of codecs and file containers.
Fully integrated VSNOne TV Servers have on-board automation control, media storage and media DB, graphics engine, file/line/VTR ingest, clip playout, Time Shift, DVB IP/ASI TS Encoding Tools, DVB Subtitling & Closed Captioning and 4k High Frame Rate on some concrete playout configurations.
Being a part of broadcasting or live-production studio, the VSNOne TV server may be used as a multifunctional graphics design & playout station, which will tie graphics into the propagating video and format multi-layered compositions consisting of captions, scrolling text, video effects, on-screen graphics, logos, animated banners, live video fragments, Chroma Key, and 2D effects.
Each output (program) channel of VSNOne TV contains up to eight simultaneously functioning virtual channels for graphics output. Each channel contains its own playlist, with playing back graphic events. Each event may contain a multi-layered combination (without limitation on the number of layers) of text/graphic events.
Dynamic compositions technology is also available on VSNOne TV for Branding, Promo, TV News, Weather Forecasts, Economic information, Music Channels, etc. Moreover, an unlimited number of logos, captions, scrolling and crawling text can be played back on dynamic backgrounds.

Onboard media preparation tools allow the operator to define and organize content while recording is still underway. And with configurable shortcut keys, live asset and metadata updates, and built-in tool for instant navigation to key points in long pieces of media, VSNOne TV allows you to get your material on-air in record time.
Each VSNOne TV server may contain up to 8 SD-HD SDI inputs, to which signals from cameras and simple sources are sent (signals may be asynchronous), letting users apply live input sources to any object and animate the result in real-time, without the use of external scaler equipment.
