Angenieux EZ-1 30-90mm T2 - PL is a fast zoom for 3-perf Super 35mm sized sensors that has been designed from the ground up to utilize interchangeable rear optical assemblies. This allows you to use the same lens to cover Super 35 or Full-Frame/VistaVision-sized sensors by swapping out the rear optical assembly. In addition, the rear assemblies allow you to swap the lens mount from PL to Sony E or Canon EF.

 

The version of the lens ships with a PL mount and the Super 35 rear optical assembly. Set up as such it features a T2.0 aperture and focuses down to 2' in front of the image plane, while weighing in at only 4.7 pounds. The 114mm front diameter of the lens is a common diameter compatible with cinema-style matte boxes. The lens features independent focus, iris, and zoom control rings with cinema standard gear teeth. A removable support foot can be repositioned for when you need to rotate your lens off of a standard mounting orientation.

 

Interchangeable Rear Optical Assembly

 

The EZ-1 30-90mm is designed with swappable rear optical elements so you can easily convert the lens from covering 3-perf Super 35 to full-frame/VistaVision. This design has many advantages over adding additional optical elements such as 2x extenders, as swapping the rear assembly allows the lens to maintain the same physical size and minimum operating distance, while losing only slightly more than a stop when going from Super 35 to full-frame coverage. Additionally, as the optics are designed to be part of the lens, and not just additional elements that blow up the image resolved by the lens, they match the optical quality of the lens and your image does not suffer from having to go through additional glass/air surfaces, which can degrade your image.

 

Interchangeable Lens Mounts

 

This lens ships with a PL mount; however, that mount can be swapped with available (not included) E or EF lens mounts.

 

Losing only 1/10 of a stop within the lens, the EZ-2 is extremely efficient. The fast T2.0 maximum aperture in Super 35mm matches the maximum aperture of many standard prime lenses for Super 35mm. This allows you to light to a lower illumination level than would normally be required for many zooms, making for more consistent images as you may not have to relight the scene as is often the case when moving from primes to slower zoom lenses.

 

Manual Lens Control Rings

 

Featuring independent manual control rings for focus, iris, and zoom. Each control ring incorporates industry standard 0.8 lens gear teeth.

 

114mm Front Diameter

 

The EZ-1 shares the same 114mm front common to the Angenieux OPTIMO lens series, allowing you to easily share matte boxes between the EZ-1 and the OPTIMO lenses.

INTUITIVE USER EXPERIENCE

 

The X1D II 50C’s brilliant 3.6-inch 2.36-million-dot touch rear display and enhanced 3.69-million-dot OLED EVF are updated with higher resolution, enabling a more accurate post capture evaluation of images. With an improved magnification of 0.87x, the X1D II 50C’s EVF is now larger, letting you see the bigger picture. In addition, the menu system is now accessible when looking in the EVF, providing greater usability in the sunniest conditions. Building upon the previous generation’s intuitive user interface with pinch-to-zoom and swipe image browsing, the X1D II 50C is refined with a quicker overall response when navigating through its menu system. Further additions to the rear display include autofocus point drag and drop placement and autofocus point size changes with pinch/spread finger movement. With a quicker startup time, a live view with a faster refresh rate of 60 fps, and the shutter lag and black out time between frames reduced, the X1D II 50C creates an even smoother user experience.

 

 

 

UPGRADED ELECTRONICS

 

The X1D II 50C’s updated electronic platform allows for a more responsive camera experience, including faster image previewing, enabling quicker post capture evaluation. In addition, a higher frame rate of 60 fps makes live view smoother in both the EVF and the rear display. The much higher resolution of the rear display screen (1024x768) gives a more vivid, true to life image viewing experience. In addition, the X1D II 50C now enables full resolution high quality in-camera JPEG images with Hasselblad’s signature colours. Dual SD card slots, now supporting the faster UHS-II standard, ensure optimal storage space or the option to back up images to a second card when shooting.

 

 

 

TOTAL CONNECTIVITY

 

Built-in Wi-Fi and USB-C connectivity create a portable photographic workflow with wireless or tethered image export and tethered shooting using Phocus Mobile 2. Tethered shooting is also applicable with Phocus’ desktop version, available for both Mac and PC. An internal GPS module enables optional automatic geotagging of images. Dual SD card slots ensure optimal storage space or the option to back up images to a second card when shooting. The X1D II 50C enables in-camera battery charging via USB through a computer, charger or power bank.

 

 

 

PORTABLE WORKFLOW WITH PHOCUS MOBILE 2

 

Expanding the possibilities of the Hasselblad workflow, Phocus Mobile 2 takes the image editing process to a new, portable level. Compatible with the X1D II 50C via either USB-C or Wi-Fi, Phocus Mobile 2 is supported on iPad Pro and 2019 iPad Air models, enabling the traveling photographer to have a quicker, more seamless workflow. With Phocus Mobile 2, users can import, edit and rate RAW images and import and rate full quality JPEG images directly on their device. In addition, Phocus Mobile 2 supports full quality image export, tethered shooting, and direct camera control.

 

 

 

DESIGNED WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHER IN MIND

 

Adopting the award-winning design of the first generation, the X1D II 50C continues with Hasselblad’s heritage of blending form and function seamlessly for a smooth handling experience. Milled from high-quality, solid aluminum and designed with a clean surface with only the most crucial buttons, all other commands are easily located in the rear touch display. With the shutter built into Hasselblad lenses instead of the camera body, the weight and size of the X1D II 50C is minimized, enabling a very compact form.

 

 

 

SMOOTH HANDLING

 

The X1D II 50C’s deep grip allows for a firm hold, enabling easy and comfortable shooting. Built into the grip is an internal battery slot. Simply clicking it into place, the battery is smoothly ejected by sliding the release catch and then pressing the battery once more.

 

 

 

HIGH-CLASS OPTICS FROM 21MM TO 500MM

 

Shooting with the X1D II 50C gives access to Hasselblad’s full range of high-quality medium format optics, including the 9 XCD Lenses, 12 HC/HCD Lenses (and Converter H 1.7x) with the XH Adapter in addition to other H System accessories, XPan Lenses via the XPan Adapter, and V System Lenses using the XV Adapter. All XCD and HC/HCD Lenses feature central lens shutters that deliver full flash sync, including up to 1/2000th of a second in all X System Lenses. Crafted from durable metal components, Hasselblad optics are rigorously tested to ensure optimal performance and superb image quality.

 

 

 

XCD 3,5-4,5/35-75 ZOOM LENS FOR X1D II 50C

 

The ninth addition to the X System lens range is the XCD 3,5-4,5/35-75 Zoom Lens. Delivering the same superb image quality from edge-to-edge as the XCD prime lenses, this extremely high performance, compact mid-range zoom covers moderate wide angle to short telephoto focal lengths. Its internal focusing keeps the lens’ dimensions constant, delivers quick autofocus and additionally keeps the overall weight down. Ideal for shooting anything from wide angle landscapes to portrait images, this lens is perfect for photographers who are looking to keep the amount of equipment they carry when travelling to a minimum but don’t want to compromise on image quality. Like the rest of the XCD lens range, the XCD 35-75 features an integral central lens shutter, offering exposure times from 68 minutes to 1/2000th of a second with full flash synchronisation throughout.

For automated playout AirBox Neo allows fixed-time scheduling for weeks ahead. Resulting gaps or time overlaps are automatically resolvedin order to ensure continuous operation even when conflicting timed events are present. Special facilities ensure uninterrupted operation ifcontent files or even entire schedules are missing or misplaced.

 

 

 

Playout sessions are being logged for monitoring and control purposes. The log can be later used for extracting actual playout sequencewith exact timings or identifying user intervention into the playout session. The logging and recovery options allow completely unattended remote operation.

Sony PXW-FX9 XDCAM 6K Full-Frame Camera System (Body Only) The PXW-FX9 features a full-frame, oversampled 6K Exmor R CMOS sensor that allows you to capture 4K images with cinematic depth of field. The camera's E-mount is machined from stainless steel and allows you to use E-mount lenses.

 

The PXW-FX9 input and output features include 12G-SDI and HDMI outputs for 4K, a 3G-SDI output for HD, and genlock and timecode when using a multicamera setup. The Fast Hybrid AF autofocus system allows for accurate focus and even allows facial detection to automatically detect human form with 561 points of detection. Advanced image stabilization is achieved using the PXW-FX9's internal gyroscope for shots so smooth it'll look like you used a gimbal. Its 4-channel audio recording allows you to use external microphones and record ambient sound with the internal mics simultaneously.

 

The camera features a 15-stop dynamic range and records 10-bit 4:2:2 to dual XQD media card slots that support simultaneous and relay recording, as well as multiple backup recording modes that utilize proxy files. The camera can record UHD (3840 x 2160) and HD (1920 x 1080) internally at a selectable frame rate from 1 fps up to 60 fps in XAVC-I, XAVC-Long, and MPEG HD formats. And with a future firmware update, it will be able to record HD at up to 180 fps and output 16-bit raw 4K/2K footage up to 120 fps. In addition to its wide dynamic range, its enhanced color and light features include a dual base ISO of 800/4000, which is helpful when in low-light situations or using a slower lens. Its 7-stop electronic variable HD filter can perform in auto or manual mode, smoothly adjusting from 1/4 to 1/128 density. The camera's default S-Cinetone color look offers the same soft, vivid tone as with Sony's VENICE camera.

 

The FX9 includes an integrated Multi-Interface (MI) shoe and comes with a BP-U35 battery, BC-U1A battery charger, AC adapter with two power cords, body cap, viewfinder, eyepiece, remote control, and USB cable. The PXW-FX9 is also compatible with the separately available XDCA-FX9 extension unit which provides ENG shoulder-style support, networking features, and a slot for an optional wireless audio receiver.

 

6K CMOS Exmor R Sensor

 

The PXW-FX9's oversampled full-frame 6K sensor provides recording in DCI 4K, UHD, and HD resolutions. Powerful image processing with debayering and down-sampling ensures image quality beyond the limits of conventional Super 35mm sensors. The back-illuminated CMOS image sensor also uses Sony's Exmor R technology for improved sensitivity and noise reduction. Compared to a 4K Super 35mm sensor, the FX9's 6K sensor has over twice the surface area while providing a wider angle of view and shallower depth of field.

 

15 Stops of Dynamic Range

 

The FX9 offers an exceptional 15+ stops of dynamic range, allowing for creative freedom in color grading and post. Camera operators can concentrate on framing the scene they want while relying upon the FX9 to capture every nuance and detail using 4K 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording.

 

ISO Control

 

The FX9 features a base sensitivity of ISO 800, providing the optimal dynamic range for typical documentary applications such as shooting outside or in brightly lit interiors. A secondary high base sensitivity of ISO 4000 excels in low-light conditions such as early morning and evening shoots while maintaining superb image quality. ISO 4000 is also ideal whenever you're using slow lenses.

 

Electronic ND Filter

 

Sony's built-in electronic variable neutral density (ND) filter can be set to auto, or adjust filter density manually in smooth increments from 1/4 to 1/128 as you shoot, for perfectly exposed images without affecting depth of field as lighting conditions change. Use higher-density settings with a slower shutter speed for artistic effects.

 

Recording Formats

 

Depending on the project, the FX9 has a selection of recording formats. XAVC-I with 422 10-bit quality at a highest 600 Mb/s in 60p. XAVC-Long for more longer recording time in smaller file size. The traditional MPEG HD codec is also available. All files will be recorded onto XQD media cards.

 

Adjustable Frame Rates

 

Choose your desired frame rate from 1 up to 60 fps for quick- and slow-motion footage. The FX9 creates an immersive image with a wide-angle look and shallower depth of field provided by its full-frame sensor in combination with quick and slow motion. It also offers a quality priority setting that maximizes Full HD slow-motion image quality with advanced oversampling technology.

 

S-Cinetone Look

 

S-Cinetone is the default look of FX9 that's tuned to meet the requirements of today's content creators with rich midrange colors, alluring facial tones, and a softer tonal look developed with the same expertise as Sony's world-leading VENICE digital cinematography camera. S-Cinetone means that straight out of the camera your content looks fresh and vivid, with subjects that really stand out while retaining plenty of latitude in post-production, thanks to the high-performance full-frame image sensor.

 

Fast Hybrid AF

 

Effortlessly track fast-moving subjects with pin-sharp focus, even when using wide-lens aperture settings to maintain a shallow depth of field with the camera's full-frame sensor. Enhanced Fast Hybrid AF combines phase detection AF for fast, accurate subject tracking with contrast AF for exceptional focus accuracy. In addition, Face Detection intelligently recognizes and locks on to human faces. The dedicated 561-point phase detection AF sensor covers approximately 94% of the whole image area width and 96% of height, allowing for consistently accurate, responsive AF tracking, even with fast-moving subjects.

 

Seven-level AF transition speeds from fast-switching between subjects as quickly as possible to slow, where speed is reduced to fit a more measured shooting style, such as a historical TV drama.

 

Five-level AF subject shift sensitivity ranges from locked-on, ignoring other moving subjects in the frame, to responsive that switches focus from one subject to another—ideal for snapping between race cars as they speed by.

 

Advanced Image Stabilization

 

Advanced image stabilization information means even handheld footage can be transformed with Sony Catalyst Browse/Catalyst Prepare software in post-production to look as smooth as if it were shot with a gimbal. Unlike in-camera or lens stabilization, metadata generated by the FX9's built-in gyro allows you to creatively choose the balance between the level of shake compensation and the resolution of trimmed 4K imagery. This feature is also compatible with any E-mount lens and allows for far faster processing than conventional NLE stabilization workflows.

 

4-Channel Audio Recording

 

The FX9 offers audio capabilities with independent control dials for each channel. In applications such as an interview, 4-channel audio recording enables simultaneous use of an external microphone for recording ambient sounds, and the built-in microphone for ambient sound and voice memos by the operator.

 

Inputs and Outputs

 

The FX9 is equipped with various outputs including a 12G-SDI and an HDMI for 4K output. Also, it has a 3G-SDI for HD output to expand its monitoring flexibility. For multicamera operation, Genlock and TC In/Out terminals are available.

 

Recording Modes

 

The FX9 has a selection of backup recording modes that will help ensure the recording is safe. Simul Rec will enable simultaneous HD recording onto two media cards. The 4K/HD Sub Rec mode will allow 4K recording on one card and MPEG HD recording on another card. XAVC Proxy Rec is also available, offering a 9 Mb/s small size proxy file which will be easily sent via network. Also, a maximum 28-second Cache Rec is available to prevent missing any shot.

 

Multi-Interface (MI) Shoe

 

Sony's flexible Multi-Interface (MI) shoe provides power, signal connections, and coordinated on/off switching with compatible Sony accessories.

 

Optional Extension Unit

Extending the NXCAM line of solid-state camcorders, Sony's HXR-NX5R offers improved network functionality over previous cameras in the line, and it allows you to select from XAVC-S 50 Mb/s to AVCHD/DV recording. Suitable for documentaries, corporate, weddings, events, nature, sports, and journalism, the NX5R shoots at NTSC broadcast frame rates from 59.94 to 23.98. The built-in Wi-Fi and FTP wireless connections enable you to send footage to your editor from the camera while on location, instead of having to send the media cards to the editor. Signal ProcessingThe Camera supports two signal processing modes; Cine-EI and Custom. Cine-EI offers three color grading spaces for electronic cinematography production. The Custom mode supports Rec-709 and Rec BT-2020 at UHD 3840 x 2160 with Y, Cb, Cr color subsampling. You can set the PXW-FS7 II to record onboard and monitor on a BT 2020 compliant monitors via HDMI 10-bit 4:2:2 or SDI at 10-bit 4:2:2 with a 709 monitor LUT applied.

Locking E-MountThe PXW-FS7 II is equipped with a locking E-Mount that provides improved stability and strength compared to a standard E-Mount. It features a safety interlock system that helps prevent accidental disengagement of your lens from the camera body. The locking mount also reduces lens play compared to a standard E-Mount and the locking mount is strong enough to support long cine and ENG zooms that normally require a lens support.

It accepts optional E-Mount lenses from Sony, Zeiss and other manufacturers. The shallow flange distance of the E-Mount allows you to mount most 35mm lens types such as PL, Canon EF, Leica, Nikon, as well as many others with simple mechanical adapters.

Electronic Variable NDBehind the lens mount sits a retractable clear filter. When you engage the internal ND filters, the clear filter retracts and a stepless electronic ND filter drops into place maintaining the proper flange focal distance. You can program the electronic ND filter to act as three individual filters and rotating the filter knob will step between these presets.

Additionally, you can manually adjust the density of the filter from 2 to 7 stops. One of the advantages of the electronically variable ND filter is that you can use the iris on your lens to set your depth of field, and then make exposure adjustments with the ND, as it does not introduce any color shift as the strength of the ND changes.

Magnesium ConstructionThe camera body is made from magnesium, which is lighter and stronger than aluminum. This allows the camera body to weigh only four pounds. It also incorporates a shoulder pad and is designed to sit on the operator's shoulder by extending the support arm of the SmartGrip, which allows the camera to be held in front of the operator without requiring a support rig.

SmartGripThe camera includes an ergonomic handgrip that Sony calls a SmartGrip, which features Zoom, Start/Stop, and Assign controls. The L40, like all Mo-Sys heads, is lightning quick to set up utilising a daisy-chain system of identical “Mo-Sys bus” cables, providing simplicity and redundancy of spares. The head features a quick release camera plate to enable fast camera installation. All head frame size adjustments are by quick release levers for quickness and ease of balancing and nodal point positioning.

Intuitive control

The L40 can be operated with a variety of input devices such as hand-wheels, pan-bar or joystick. The Button-Console interface provides controls for pan/tilt velocity adjustment, input smoothing and direction, user defined position limits with feathering and axes zeroing. It simplifies the operation of the head in remote-mode making it ideal for tech-less operation. Our intuitive touch screen console gives access to the extended extra features like back-pan.

Data for post production

With built in high-resolution encoders the L40 is ready for a full VFX workflow, outputting accurate pan and tilt data and also connects to Mo-Sys VR modules to track cranes, dollies and cameras. In a move that will increase efficiency on set, ARRI has integrated a high-quality and low-latency HD video transmitter and WiFi into the new ALEXA SXT W model ("W" for Wireless). Based on the popular ALEXA SXT Plus, the SXT W will replace the SXT Plus and Studio models. As always, there are attractive upgrade options for existing owners of ALEXA SXT EV and ALEXA SXT Plus cameras.

The new hardware will be accompanied by software upgrade SXT SUP 2.0, which adds improved HDR monitoring, support for current SxS PRO+ and CFast 2.0 cards, quicker frame grabs, various WCU-4 and lens motor features, and other refinements.

Having a video transmitter built into the ALEXA SXT W makes the camera smaller and lighter than it would be with an external transmitter. It also means fewer cables around the camera and fewer associated problems, since cable failure is by far the most common technical hitch on set. Camera setup and power-up will be quicker, and productions will be able to move faster. Interference between different radio frequencies can be a time-consuming issue for camera crews. The ARRI Wireless Video System eliminates this issue because it works harmoniously with ALEXA SXT W’s other radio-based offerings: the WiFi and the ECS, ARRI’s proprietary camera and lens control system.

In addition, the integrated WiFi radio opens up a whole range of options, starting with wireless look control on set and continuing with wireless camera remote control using the ALEXA Web Remote. Other exciting WiFi options are currently under development. The introduction of a built-in wireless video transmitter is a significant upgrade for the ALEXA SXT and reflects ARRI’s commitment to continually improve the SXT platform with additional functionality.

Built around a large-format 4K version of the original ALEXA sensor, the ARRI ALEXA LF (LPL) camera in this Basic Camera Set offers native 4K recording in three sensor modes, with ARRIRAW or ProRes recording in LF Open Gate, LF 16:9, or LF 2.39:1 modes. The ALEXA LF combines large-format resolution with an optimal pixel size for excellent image quality, producing vivid, nuanced images with natural skin tones and smooth bokeh. The ALEXA LF is designed with ARRI's LPL lens mount that has been optimized for large-format capture, and is compatible with all PL-mount lenses with the use of a PL-to-LPL adapter. A wider diameter, and shorter flange focal depth than the original ARRI PL mount, enable LPL-mount lenses to be smaller and lighter than earlier large-format optics.

The ALEXA SXT LF offers an array of recording format choices in ARRIRAW and ProRes, recording to 1 or 2TB SXR capture drives, or SxS PRO+ 256GB cards. With a base sensitivity of EI 800, 16-bit processing, and a dynamic range of 14-plus stops, your footage is effectively future-proofed for compatibility with HDR displays. Frame rates up to 150 fps produce smooth slow motion and enable capture for higher-clarity HFR (High Frame Rate) projects.

The wireless connectivity of the ALEXA SXT W is built into the ALEXA LF, providing Wi-Fi and compatibility with ARRI ECS lens/camera control systems. One WVR-1 receiver is included in this basic kit, offering wireless video transmission in a range up to 2000'. An internal filter holder can be used to insert one of eight Large Format Full Spectrum Neutral Density (LF FSND) filters (available separately). Additional ALEXA LF features include compatibility with existing ARRI Look files and workflow, clip playback in both ARRIRAW or ProRes, and 2-channel, 5-pin XLR audio input. This basic ALEXA LF set also includes SXR and SxS media adapters, the EVF-1 electronic viewfinder with a VMB-3 mounting bracket and cable, the CCH-1 center carrying handle, and an SD card for storing/loading LUTs, SUPs, etc.

The ALEXA LF camera works with existing ALEXA-compatible lenses, accessories, and workflows. Use your favorite existing ARRI Look files and software tools with the ALEXA LF. A separately available PL-to-LPL mount adapter attaches to any PL-mount lens, both Super 35 or full-frame. The ALEXA LF transmits data from LDS-2, LDS-1, or /i (Cooke) lens data systems.

This pairing of a PXW-FS7M2 4K XDCAM Super 35 Camcorder Kit with an 18-110mm Zoom Lens from Sony provides you with a camera and lens system ready for today's Super 35mm 4K single-camera productions. Well suited to cinema, documentaries, news magazines, or as the base of a kit to build upon for commercial production. A sturdy locking E-mount, which can support cinema-style zoom lenses, and an electronic variable ND filter highlight some of the camera's features. The camera supports recording of HD, UHD 4K, and DCI 4K to integrated XQD media card slots.

The included Sony 18-110mm power zoom lens covers the Super 35mm format and supports 4K resolution. It features a Sony E-mount, which allows it to mount directly on the camera without requiring an adapter. The power zoom incorporates a mechanically linked zoom ring for precise control with no motor lag, and it features separate geared focus, zoom, and iris rings for manual image control.

PXW-FS7M2 XDCAM Super 35 Camera System

Expanding on the original FS7, Sony's PXW-FS7M2 XDCAM Super 35 Camera System is a flexible 4K camera system. Designed as a camera that is at home on productions as diverse as "Cinéma Vérité"-style documentaries, reality TV, commercial, and corporate applications It features a Super 35mm sized sensor that allows you to capture images with cinematic depth of field. The camera incorporates a stronger locking E-mount that is fully compatible with E-Mount lenses, and supports all electronic connections. The locking mount reduces lens play, and allows you to use most 35mm lenses including PL, EF, Leica, and Nikon via optional adapters. This stronger E-mount is ideal for using heavier-long cine-zooms without the need for additional lens support.

Just behind the lens mount sits an electronic variable ND system that provides a clear filter and 3 user definable presets. The variable ND can be adjusted to provide between 2 and 7 stops of ND. The camera can capture footage to optional on-board XQD media cards in either DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) or UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at up to 59.94 fps or HD at up to 180 fps.

Sensor

The 4K Super 35 EXMOR sensor features 14 Stops of latitude and a wide color gamut. It offers a choice of XAVC or MPEG-2 codecs. The XAVC codec can be used for 4K and HD recording, while MPEG-2 is limited to HD recording. XAVC comes in two flavors, XAVC INTRA, and XAVC Long, allowing you to encode from HD to UHD using Intra-Frame or Long GOP compression with 10-bit 4:2:2 for HD and the choice of 10-bit 4:2:2 or 8-bit 4:2:0 for UHD. XAVC intra compression is very efficient, recording at modest bit rates and XAVC Long also substantially extends the recording time while attaining very high quality and low noise.

Signal Processing

The Camera supports two signal processing modes; Cine-EI and Custom. Cine-EI offers three color grading spaces for electronic cinematography production. The Custom mode supports Rec-709 and Rec BT-2020 at UHD 3840 x 2160 with Y, Cb, Cr color subsampling. You can set the PXW-FS7M2 to record onboard and monitor on a BT 2020 compliant monitors via HDMI 10-bit 4:2:2 or SDI at 10-bit 4:2:2 with a 709 monitor LUT applied.

Locking E-Mount

The PXW-FS7M2 is equipped with a locking E-Mount that provides improved stability and strength compared to a standard E-Mount. It features a safety interlock system that helps prevent accidental disengagement of your lens from the camera body. The locking mount also reduces lens play compared to a standard E-Mount and the locking mount is strong enough to support long cine and ENG zooms that normally require a lens support.

It accepts optional E-Mount lenses from Sony, Zeiss and other manufacturers. The shallow flange distance of the E-Mount allows you to mount most 35mm lens types such as PL, Canon EF, Leica, Nikon, as well as many others with simple mechanical adapters.

Electronic Variable ND

Behind the lens mount sits a retractable clear filter. When you engage the internal ND filters, the clear filter retracts and a stepless electronic ND filter drops into place maintaining the proper flange focal distance. You can program the electronic ND filter to act as three individual filters and rotating the filter knob will step between these presets.

Magnesium Construction

The camera body is made from magnesium, which is lighter and stronger than aluminum. This allows the camera body to weigh only four pounds. It also incorporates a shoulder pad and is designed to sit on the operator's shoulder by extending the support arm of the SmartGrip, which allows the camera to be held in front of the operator without requiring a support rig.

SmartGrip

The camera includes an ergonomic handgrip that Sony calls a SmartGrip, which features Zoom, Start/Stop, and Assign controls. The SmartGrip facilitates camera operation with the right hand, leaving the left hand free to operate the lens. Both the arm and handgrip can be positioned at different angles permitting great flexibility, and it has been re-designed for additional extension adjustment.

Redesigned Viewfinder and Mic Holder Mount

With the PXW-FS7M2 the viewfinder and mic holder mount has been repositioned. The viewfinder and mic holder now attach to a replaceable 15mm rod. This allows you to swap out the included rod with a longer rod (not included), allowing you to move the position of the viewfinder or mic holder relative to the camera. You can adjust the position of the viewfinder so a left-eye shooter can use their left eye, while the camera is resting on their right shoulder.

In addition, the viewfinder itself now rides on a square mounting rod that ensures level operation.

Internal Recording

The PXW-FS7M2 records internally in both DCI 4K and UHD 4K at up to 59.94 fps, and in HD up to 180 fps using XAVC-I or up to 120 fps with XAVC-L. DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) can be recorded internally without the need of an external recorder.

RouteMaster Lite brings familiar video routing capabilities to Newtek’s NDI® video. Based on our proven RouteMaster system, it gives operators a range of familiar control interfaces for controlling video switching.

Switching is suitable for all live, on-air applications, making RouteMaster Lite ideal for fast manual intervention.

No video streams are passed through the router system, instead traffic is redirected at the network level.  This means only minimal bandwidth and processor requirements are needed, regardless of the number of video streams and resolution. There’s also no additional video delay through the system. Additionally, RouteMaster Lite does not become a central point of failure: If the router system fails for any reason, video continues to flow from sources to destinations uninterrupted.

RouteMaster Lite is ideal for OB and production environments, supporting up to 20 sources and 20 destinations. For larger systems with more complex requirements, the same NDI switching technology is available in the full-featured RouteMaster system.

The built-in GUI is ideal for preset and take switching, showing resizeable video previews and audio metering  of the current video and the chosen source.

External Control

While control from the built-in GUI is fast and easy, it’s not ideal for all situations. Therefore RouteMaster lite supports external control from:

• Web Panels served by the integrated web server


• Familiar hardware panels like Blackmagic Design Smart Control


• Or, third-party software which uses the Blackmagic VideoHub protocol

INTUITIVE USER EXPERIENCE

 

The X1D II 50C’s brilliant 3.6-inch 2.36-million-dot touch rear display and enhanced 3.69-million-dot OLED EVF are updated with higher resolution, enabling a more accurate post capture evaluation of images. With an improved magnification of 0.87x, the X1D II 50C’s EVF is now larger, letting you see the bigger picture. In addition, the menu system is now accessible when looking in the EVF, providing greater usability in the sunniest conditions. Building upon the previous generation’s intuitive user interface with pinch-to-zoom and swipe image browsing, the X1D II 50C is refined with a quicker overall response when navigating through its menu system. Further additions to the rear display include autofocus point drag and drop placement and autofocus point size changes with pinch/spread finger movement. With a quicker startup time, a live view with a faster refresh rate of 60 fps, and the shutter lag and black out time between frames reduced, the X1D II 50C creates an even smoother user experience.

 

 

 

UPGRADED ELECTRONICS

 

The X1D II 50C’s updated electronic platform allows for a more responsive camera experience, including faster image previewing, enabling quicker post capture evaluation. In addition, a higher frame rate of 60 fps makes live view smoother in both the EVF and the rear display. The much higher resolution of the rear display screen (1024x768) gives a more vivid, true to life image viewing experience. In addition, the X1D II 50C now enables full resolution high quality in-camera JPEG images with Hasselblad’s signature colours. Dual SD card slots, now supporting the faster UHS-II standard, ensure optimal storage space or the option to back up images to a second card when shooting.

 

 

 

TOTAL CONNECTIVITY

 

Built-in Wi-Fi and USB-C connectivity create a portable photographic workflow with wireless or tethered image export and tethered shooting using Phocus Mobile 2. With Phocus Mobile 2, users can import, edit and rate RAW images and import and rate full quality JPEG images directly on their device. In addition, Phocus Mobile 2 supports full quality image export, tethered shooting, and direct camera control.

 

 

 

DESIGNED WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHER IN MIND

 

Adopting the award-winning design of the first generation, the X1D II 50C continues with Hasselblad’s heritage of blending form and function seamlessly for a smooth handling experience. Milled from high-quality, solid aluminum and designed with a clean surface with only the most crucial buttons, all other commands are easily located in the rear touch display. With the shutter built into Hasselblad lenses instead of the camera body, the weight and size of the X1D II 50C is minimized, enabling a very compact form.

 

 

 

SMOOTH HANDLING

 

The X1D II 50C’s deep grip allows for a firm hold, enabling easy and comfortable shooting. Built into the grip is an internal battery slot. Simply clicking it into place, the battery is smoothly ejected by sliding the release catch and then pressing the battery once more.

 

 

 

HIGH-CLASS OPTICS FROM 21MM TO 500MM

 

Shooting with the X1D II 50C gives access to Hasselblad’s full range of high-quality medium format optics, including the 9 XCD Lenses, 12 HC/HCD Lenses (and Converter H 1.7x) with the XH Adapter in addition to other H System accessories, XPan Lenses via the XPan Adapter, and V System Lenses using the XV Adapter. All XCD and HC/HCD Lenses feature central lens shutters that deliver full flash sync, including up to 1/2000th of a second in all X System Lenses. Crafted from durable metal components, Hasselblad optics are rigorously tested to ensure optimal performance and superb image quality.

 

 

 

XCD 3,5-4,5/35-75 ZOOM LENS FOR X1D II 50C

 

The ninth addition to the X System lens range is the XCD 3,5-4,5/35-75 Zoom Lens. Delivering the same superb image quality from edge-to-edge as the XCD prime lenses, this extremely high performance, compact mid-range zoom covers moderate wide angle to short telephoto focal lengths. Its internal focusing keeps the lens’ dimensions constant, delivers quick autofocus and additionally keeps the overall weight down. Ideal for shooting anything from wide angle landscapes to portrait images, this lens is perfect for photographers who are looking to keep the amount of equipment they carry when travelling to a minimum but don’t want to compromise on image quality. Like the rest of the XCD lens range, the XCD 35-75 features an integral central lens shutter, offering exposure times from 68 minutes to 1/2000th of a second with full flash synchronisation throughout.
