TICO-XS IP cores
TICO-XS is a smart upgrade path to manage higher resolutions (4K, 8K, …) and frame rates while assuring visual quality, keeping power and bandwidth at a reasonable budget and significantly reducing the complexity and cost of a system, a chip or an infrastructure.
Applications:
From 3G-SDI to IP in 4K
The mapping of the TICO-XS mezzanine compression to carry UHDTV 4K 60P over a single 3G-SDI cable has been specified in the SMPTE RDD35. intoPIX provides the needed building blocks to create a 4K over 3G-SDI solutions. Have a look at the intoPIX TICO-XS IP-cores and peripheral IP to map the compression over SDI.
4K with TICO compression over SMPTE2022-6
As SMPTE ST2022-6, defines the transport of HD-SDI or 3G-SDI over IP, using TICO-XS, it is easy to leverage an existing SMPTE 2022-6 system to carry up to three UHDTV 4K 60P streams over a single 10 GbE port using the SMPTE 2022-6 standard.
SMPTE 2110 and TICO compression
SMPTE ST2110-22 specifies the transport of compressed video over IP (including JPEG-XS), enabling you to transport any video formats over IP with full flexibility and all the benefits of TICO-XS compression.
8K over a single 10GbE
It has already been proven. TICO-XS can enable you to carry with lossless quality a 8K 60fps video stream over a single 10GbE link using TICO RTP payload and a SMPTE 2110-22 transport.

MCX7000 Multi-Carrier Satellite Gateway
Main advantages:
The Newtec MCX7000 is a new dense DVB-S2X multi-carrier satellite gateway for efficient distribution to towers and headends, or for use in back-up or dense DTH HUB stations, resulting in OPEX and CAPEX savings. This 133 Mbaud modem is also fit for broadcast contribution applications on standard and HTS spotbeam transponders.
Compatible with the Newtec Dialog® multiservice broadcast platform, it brings increased bandwidth efficiency of up to 51% and features multistream, as well as Newtec's Clean Channel Technology® and its linear and non-linear pre-distortion technology Equalink® 3.
Building upon the MDM6100 Broadcast Satellite Modem software suite, the enhanced hardware platform of the MCX7000 extends the modem capabilities beyond single carrier support.
In a multi-modulator configuration, four 133 Mbaud carriers acc. DVB standards up to DVB-S2X can be generated. Efficient transmission of UHDTV bouquets over 2 or 3 transponders for DTH only requires the Channel Bonding license.
In a multi-demod modem configuration, two 133 Mbaud carriers can be demodulated, next to modulation of a 133 Mbaud signal with full support of the DVB satellite standards up to DVB-S2X. Each and every Transport Stream embedded in one of the received carriers can be output on one of the six (optional) ASI or dual Ethernet ports. The same data interfaces can be used as input ports for the modulator.
Transmodulation of a received stream is also an option.
Its remote in-band management and software upgradeability makes it the receiver equipment of choice for remote unattended towers and headends. Subsequent releases of this future-proof DVB-S2X platform guarantee, by simple software upgrade, even increased functionality and higher density.
