New in version 9 of the XRE Transcoder is an “Effect Template” feature that allows customized effects such as layered graphics, image side bar blur, speed change, HDR metadata inclusion and more, to the clip as it is being transcoded. XRE Transcoder 9 can be used with any third-party professional NLE system. Medway enabled a complete digital workflow ensuring Edit Platforms, MAMs, Video Servers and Archive Systems can work seamlessly together.
Medway is a cloud and ground media-savvy middleware, widely used in the industry by many organisations such as Discovery, CBS, BBC, RTVE, MDR and ABS-CBN. Usually it is used to integrate network contacted and incompatible systems, such as post-production, DAM, transmission and media servers.
Intelligent media file, metadata, control and status management are key to the operation of Medway. However, with Medway the level of granularity and quality of these integrations is technically far superior to any other cloud or ground based system or service,
It is a simple concept; Medway integrates incompatible systems, It also manages incompatible media and metadata, presenting it in a way that interoperates easily between multiple systems.
However, for many applications this capability is useful, but not enough for more sophisticated workflows and use cases. In this short explanation we describe why Medway is a more useful infrastructure component and why it has more capability and why it’s a better strategic choice when considering both ground and cloud based workflows.

Mistika VR
Mistika VR integrates VR 360 and other immersive formats in the workflow of traditional post-production pipelines, solving all the particularities of the media while sufficiently overlapping with further stages in the production chain.
In principle, the complexity to integrate this format comes due to following facts: First, VR 360º is normally based on rigs with many cameras, so they are difficult to process with traditional post-production pipelines based on one camera per shot. Secondly, The particular problems of the format itself: Geometry alignment, stitching, Stereo3D / depth grading, color matching between the cameras, stabilization in a 360 environment. Mistika VR is focused on solving all those points, and then deliver a traditional 2D image (or one per eye) in the most common formats used for post-production.
