ETX is a fully digital ingest/playout engine that gives you professional video technology with support for all major essences and wrappers in the broadcast industry. It is capable of SDI output, multiple layers of graphics. Additionally, HEVC/ H.265 encoding is also available on Etere ETX. With ETX inserter, operators are able to create closed captions including CEA 608 and CEA 708. In addition, ETX is capable of live subtitling with the ETX inserter and time delay. ETX is also integrated with a countdown timer that displays the time remaining until the next program. As part of the Etere Ecosystem framework, Etere ETX has a distributed architecture that enables it to take advantage of ultimate storage and video hardware to create a high-performance digital media solution that can be used to capture/playout servers, NLE systems, graphics/production servers, automation and master control units. To receive an NDI source stream, use live source object and initialize the "NDI Receiver" device just like any other capture card. The distribution of contents from the different ETX engines is controlled by Etere Data Mover, the application that delivers the correct video to the correct place at the correct time. The ATEM Mini Pro ISO HDMI Live Stream Switcher from Blackmagic Design is a four-input live production switcher with an integrated control panel designed for multicamera live streaming up to HD video to the internet via Ethernet output. It features a USB output that allows you to record the program output as well as record the individual HDMI inputs to an external USB drive (not included). In addition to recording the program stream and individual inputs, the ATEM Mini Pro ISO also records the embedded audio and analog audio inputs, generating a DaVinci Resolve project file of your live stream. This allows you to take your live production into DaVinci Resolve to make tweaks or adjustments using the source material that is already on your USB drive.

The ATEM Mini Pro ISO retains the same size, button layout, and rear panel interface connections as the ATEM Mini Pro, with new electronics that allow for the ISO recording and generation of the DaVinci project file. The ATEM Mini Pro ISO supports all the same features as the ATEM Mini Pro including upstream and downstream keyers, an advanced chroma keyer, two linear/luma keyers, a DVE transition keyer, a pattern generator, and color generators. There is also media player support for fill and key images, which supports up to 20 stills in PNG, TGA, BMP, JPEG, and TIFF formats. The ATEM Software Control Panel is used for control and configuration, and it allows you to monitor the data rate, audio meters, configuration, and status of your live feed. And you can use the panel to set up streaming to an optional Blackmagic Design Streaming Bridge anywhere in the world, as long as it is connected to the internet.

Transitions

Available transitions include:

• Cut: When you press the cut button, ATEM instantly changes from your current program source to the preview source. Cuts can be performed by directly selecting sources or by pressing the cut button to switch to the next source.


• Mix: The mix, or dissolve, gradually transitions from one source to the next by creating a smooth blend. You can set custom timings to manually blend the transition.


• Dip: Just like mix transitions, a dip transition is a gradual blend that includes either a solid color, graphic, or another clip between the two video sources. Dips to black or white between sources are the most popular, or you can use logos or sponsor graphics.


• Wipe: Built-in wipe patterns include circles, diamonds, squares, and more. Shapes and patterns can be inverted or softened and can even have customized colored borders.


• DVE: With the powerful built-in digital video effects processor, or DVE, you can push, spin, squeeze, or swoosh your live video from one camera to the next with incredible built-in transitions. DVE transitions can be flip-flopped and reversed, giving you even more transition options.

Upstream Keyer

Layer live video over other video sources or graphics with the upstream keyer. You can use the luma key, linear key, pattern key, or shoot against a green screen and use chroma key to instantly composite the video over virtual sets.

• Luma key: Luma keys work best with high-contrast images, like white elements on a black background, so you can use the contrast to cut the black background and replace it with live video or graphics.


• Linear key: Get clean, high-quality results with linear keying by using two separate sources for the fill and the key to create one video image. The fill signal contains the video to be stacked over the background, while the key signal contains a gray scale mask to cut out, or mask, the area to be filled.


• Chroma key: Used every day for TV weather forecasts, chroma keys are a powerful way of combining live images in real time. The presenter typically stands in front of a green or blue background and the chroma keyer will remove only that color and combine it with another image, such as a video or graphic.


• Pattern key: Combine live images with any of the built-in wipe patterns to combine live images or graphics with geometric shapes. You get full control over softness, symmetry, size, and position to create unique picture-in-picture effects that can be transitioned to as easily as any live source.

Downstream Keyers

The ATEM Mini switcher includes one downstream keyer, so you can add high-quality graphics like logos, bugs, and titles from the built-in media player over the live stream program output. Downstream keyers are the last layers of keying, so they overlay all video switched to the main program output.

Audio Mixer

The built-in audio mixer lets you control both camera and external audio with precision level and balance adjustments on all six available audio inputs and two channels. The mixer features selectable on/off and audio-follow-video per channel, plus it has separate gain control per channel, level and peak metering, and new Fairlight audio enhancements such as compressor, gate, limiter, six bands of parametric EQ, and master gain control.

Monitor Output

The HDMI monitor output allows you to see your sources, graphics, preview, and program output on a single screen.

Media Player

Eliminate external character generators by storing up to 20 broadcast-quality RGBA graphic files in the media pool. The one media player appears as input sources to your switcher. You can transition to graphics as full-frame video, or feed them to the keyers for overlaying video. Popular image formats such as PNG, TGA, BMP, GIF, JPEG, and TIFF are supported.

Creative M/E functionality The MVS-3000 is a two mix effect (M/E) switcher with four keyers on each bus. A variety of background transitions are available to suit any programme requirements and these include ; Mix, Wipe, Non-additive mix, super mix and FM clip. Separate from the main fader, each keyer includes its own auto-transition controls, which allow users to insert or remove keys individually with independent wipes and dissolves. For further flexibility, each keyer also offers chromakeying and colour vector keying, eliminating restrictions of selectable key types. By providing a key priority selection it is possible to give any keyer a higher or lower priority giving operators complete freedom in key selection and which key sits in front of the other in the image plane. Multi-program modeEach M/E bus in the MVS system can be configured to operate in multi program mode. This facility provides four independent program outputs on each M/E. Each separate program O/P can then be configured with any combination of M/E keyers. In addition to the expanded program O/Ps, clean and key as well as M/E PVW signals are still produced. 2 resizers per M/E bank and 2.5D DMEA powerful resizer function is provided that gives simple 2.5D DMEeffects for four keyers in the MVS-3000. With adjustable parameters such as size, position, and aspect, as well as mosaic and defocus effects, this functionality is very useful for optimizing the on-screen composition. All these effects can be created without the use of an optional DME, bringing great advantages for both simple operation and minimized system cost.Colour correction for each input and AUX outputIn order to correct for any colour errors in the incoming signals each input has a primary RGB colour corrector. In addition each aux bus output also has an identical colour corrector circuit. This is useful for correcting the colour balance on in-vision monitors. Enhanced frame memory systemThe MVS-3000 provides an internal high-capacity frame store with the ability to handle both individual images (stills) and animation sequences (clips) with embedded audio support . The frame memory system supports eight-channel playback from on-board RAM storage, and images can be imported via USB connection or a real time back up using an external video store. Individual frame memory images or animation sequences can be instantly viewed and recalled via the touch-screen menu operation.Two channel multi-viewer systemThe MVS-3000 provides multi-viewer outputs directly from the main processor chassis. This cuts down on the need for expensive external multi-viewers. Each multi-viewer output can be set in either 10- or 4-way split operation, and signals are delegated to each separate pane accordingly. In addition to using macros to record complex panel operations, macros can also be used to record menu operations. Macros can be edited either directly from the control panel or with the touch-screen menu display. Once programmed, macros can be executed in several ways: by attaching to the majority of buttons on the control panel surface, recall/run from the Flexi-Pad module, or by trigger on a timeline to execute automatically in a sequence.Networking functionsThe MVS-3000 switcher can be operated with a single Ethernet-based network. This integrated LAN enables easier connection to devices.Powerful device controlThe MVS-3000 switcher has integrated device control and thus does not require the use of an additional unit, simplifying system installation. Devices can be controlled on the same timeline as switcher events or as part of macro events. When integrating a Sony disk protocol or VDCP-controlled disk recorder, clip management is also provided, allowing different server clips to be recalled and played back as part of a switcher timeline or macro.Intelligent tally functionsAll MVS switchers provide an intelligent and multi-functional tally system, which seamlessly integrates the switcher and router tally functions. Multiple on-air and recording tallies can easily be programmed on the switcher system, so that even complex tally requirements are accommodated.Clip Transition EffectsAll MVS family switchers provide clip transition effects that enable transition, together with audio, using a frame memory sequence. During a clip transition, a computer-generated image, such as a logo, moves across the picture from one side to the other, while the transition is performed behind the image. This effect is useful for sports broadcasting. Although highly sophisticated, the effect can be performed with simple settings. Various types of transition such as Mix, Wipe, DME Wipe, and PresetColor Mix can be applied in a background transition according to the motion of the clip. A transition can be operated both backwards and forwards with the fader lever.Built-in format converterOne convenient feature of MVS switchers is that a format conversion capability can be incorporated by adding an extra format converter board (MKS-6550). This option provides up-conversion and down-conversion between HD (1080i and 720p) and SD (480i and 576i), and cross-conversion between 1080i and 720p at both inputs and outputs. With these capabilities, there is no need for external format conversion. A variety of signal formats can be handled within the switcher system, which minimizes overall system cost. The format convertor can also work in frame delay mode which provides synchronisation and up to 8 frames delay for up to eight input signals. This is useful for remote non-locked sources or for applications involving virtual studios where a compensatory delay is required.
