Advanced control panelThe control panel incorporates an attractive black design with OLED mnemonic displays for optimal visibility. Its operation is as user-friendly and intuitive as you expect of the MVS family. The self-contained 4RU processor offers simple configuration, and is a logical choice for small production facilities that have limited installation space but refuse to compromise on quality. FEATURES New control panel for convenient operability The MVS-3000 switcher features an ICP-3000 control panel. The matt-black panel is designed for easy operation in a fixed configuration. The design is based on the proven CCP style, and experienced operators will feel instantly at home. Additionally, OLED source name displays and RGB colour source buttons are included for optimal visibility and great operability. Creative M/E functionality The MVS-3000 is a two mix effect (M/E) switcher with four keyers on each bus. A variety of background transitions are available to suit any programme requirements and these include ; Mix, Wipe, Non-additive mix, super mix and FM clip. Separate from the main fader, each keyer includes its own auto-transition controls, which allow users to insert or remove keys individually with independent wipes and dissolves. For further flexibility, each keyer also offers chromakeying and colour vector keying, eliminating restrictions of selectable key types. By providing a key priority selection it is possible to give any keyer a higher or lower priority giving operators complete freedom in key selection and which key sits in front of the other in the image plane. Multi-program modeEach M/E bus in the MVS system can be configured to operate in multi program mode. This facility provides four independent program outputs on each M/E. Each separate program O/P can then be configured with any combination of M/E keyers. In addition to the expanded program O/Ps, clean and key as well as M/E PVW signals are still produced. 2 resizers per M/E bank and 2.5D DMEA powerful resizer function is provided that gives simple 2.5D DMEeffects for four keyers in the MVS-3000. With adjustable parameters such as size, position, and aspect, as well as mosaic and defocus effects, this functionality is very useful for optimizing the on-screen composition. All these effects can be created without the use of an optional DME, bringing great advantages for both simple operation and minimized system cost.Colour correction for each input and AUX outputIn order to correct for any colour errors in the incoming signals each input has a primary RGB colour corrector. In addition each aux bus output also has an identical colour corrector circuit. This is useful for correcting the colour balance on in-vision monitors. Enhanced frame memory systemThe MVS-3000 provides an internal high-capacity frame store with the ability to handle both individual images (stills) and animation sequences (clips) with embedded audio support . The frame memory system supports eight-channel playback from on-board RAM storage, and images can be imported via USB connection or a real time back up using an external video store. Individual frame memory images or animation sequences can be instantly viewed and recalled via the touch-screen menu operation.Two channel multi-viewer systemThe MVS-3000 provides multi-viewer outputs directly from the main processor chassis. This cuts down on the need for expensive external multi-viewers. Each multi-viewer output can be set in either 10- or 4-way split operation, and signals are delegated to each separate pane accordingly. The multi-viewer also supports switcher name and border tally indicators. 32 inputs and 16 outputs configuration The MVS-3000 features 32 BNC primary inputs and 16 BNC assignable outputs. Easy-to-program macrosUsing the Flexi-Pad module, you can record operation sequences, then store and assign them to any desired button. Macros are useful in live environments where time is critical and operation errors are not tolerated. In addition to using macros to record complex panel operations, macros can also be used to record menu operations. Macros can be edited either directly from the control panel or with the touch-screen menu display. Once programmed, macros can be executed in several ways: by attaching to the majority of buttons on the control panel surface, recall/run from the Flexi-Pad module, or by trigger on a timeline to execute automatically in a sequence.Networking functionsThe MVS-3000 switcher can be operated with a single Ethernet-based network. This integrated LAN enables easier connection to devices.Powerful device controlThe MVS-3000 switcher has integrated device control and thus does not require the use of an additional unit, simplifying system installation. Devices can be controlled on the same timeline as switcher events or as part of macro events. When integrating a Sony disk protocol or VDCP-controlled disk recorder, clip management is also provided, allowing different server clips to be recalled and played back as part of a switcher timeline or macro.Intelligent tally functionsAll MVS switchers provide an intelligent and multi-functional tally system, which seamlessly integrates the switcher and router tally functions. Multiple on-air and recording tallies can easily be programmed on the switcher system, so that even complex tally requirements are accommodated.Clip Transition EffectsAll MVS family switchers provide clip transition effects that enable transition, together with audio, using a frame memory sequence. During a clip transition, a computer-generated image, such as a logo, moves across the picture from one side to the other, while the transition is performed behind the image. This effect is useful for sports broadcasting. Although highly sophisticated, the effect can be performed with simple settings. Various types of transition such as Mix, Wipe, DME Wipe, and PresetColor Mix can be applied in a background transition according to the motion of the clip. A transition can be operated both backwards and forwards with the fader lever.Built-in format converterOne convenient feature of MVS switchers is that a format conversion capability can be incorporated by adding an extra format converter board (MKS-6550). This option provides up-conversion and down-conversion between HD (1080i and 720p) and SD (480i and 576i), and cross-conversion between 1080i and 720p at both inputs and outputs. With these capabilities, there is no need for external format conversion. A variety of signal formats can be handled within the switcher system, which minimizes overall system cost. The format convertor can also work in frame delay mode which provides synchronisation and up to 8 frames delay for up to eight input signals. This is useful for remote non-locked sources or for applications involving virtual studios where a compensatory delay is required.

The ATEM Mini Pro ISO HDMI Live Stream Switcher from Blackmagic Design is a four-input live production switcher with an integrated control panel designed for multicamera live streaming up to HD video to the internet via Ethernet output. It features a USB output that allows you to record the program output as well as record the individual HDMI inputs to an external USB drive (not included). In addition to recording the program stream and individual inputs, the ATEM Mini Pro ISO also records the embedded audio and analog audio inputs, generating a DaVinci Resolve project file of your live stream. Transitions
Available transitions include:
- Cut: When you press the cut button, ATEM instantly changes from your current program source to the preview source. Cuts can be performed by directly selecting sources or by pressing the cut button to switch to the next source.
- Mix: The mix, or dissolve, gradually transitions from one source to the next by creating a smooth blend. You can set custom timings to manually blend the transition.
- Dip: Just like mix transitions, a dip transition is a gradual blend that includes either a solid color, graphic, or another clip between the two video sources. Dips to black or white between sources are the most popular, or you can use logos or sponsor graphics.
- Wipe: Built-in wipe patterns include circles, diamonds, squares, and more. Shapes and patterns can be inverted or softened and can even have customized colored borders.
- DVE: With the powerful built-in digital video effects processor, or DVE, you can push, spin, squeeze, or swoosh your live video from one camera to the next with incredible built-in transitions. DVE transitions can be flip-flopped and reversed, giving you even more transition options.
Upstream Keyer
Layer live video over other video sources or graphics with the upstream keyer. You can use the luma key, linear key, pattern key, or shoot against a green screen and use chroma key to instantly composite the video over virtual sets.
- Luma key: Luma keys work best with high-contrast images, like white elements on a black background, so you can use the contrast to cut the black background and replace it with live video or graphics.
- Linear key: Get clean, high-quality results with linear keying by using two separate sources for the fill and the key to create one video image. The fill signal contains the video to be stacked over the background, while the key signal contains a gray scale mask to cut out, or mask, the area to be filled.
- Chroma key: Used every day for TV weather forecasts, chroma keys are a powerful way of combining live images in real time. The presenter typically stands in front of a green or blue background and the chroma keyer will remove only that color and combine it with another image, such as a video or graphic.
- Pattern key: Combine live images with any of the built-in wipe patterns to combine live images or graphics with geometric shapes. You get full control over softness, symmetry, size, and position to create unique picture-in-picture effects that can be transitioned to as easily as any live source.
Downstream Keyers
The ATEM Mini switcher includes one downstream keyer, so you can add high-quality graphics like logos, bugs, and titles from the built-in media player over the live stream program output. Downstream keyers are the last layers of keying, so they overlay all video switched to the main program output.
Audio Mixer
The built-in audio mixer lets you control both camera and external audio with precision level and balance adjustments on all six available audio inputs and two channels. The mixer features selectable on/off and audio-follow-video per channel, plus it has separate gain control per channel, level and peak metering, and new Fairlight audio enhancements such as compressor, gate, limiter, six bands of parametric EQ, and master gain control.
Monitor Output
The HDMI monitor output allows you to see your sources, graphics, preview, and program output on a single screen.
Media Player
Eliminate external character generators by storing up to 20 broadcast-quality RGBA graphic files in the media pool. The one media player appears as input sources to your switcher. RouteMaster Lite
RouteMaster Lite brings familiar video routing capabilities to Newtek’s NDI® video. Based on our proven RouteMaster system, it gives operators a range of familiar control interfaces for controlling video switching.
Switching is suitable for all live, on-air applications, making RouteMaster Lite ideal for fast manual intervention.
No video streams are passed through the router system, instead traffic is redirected at the network level. This means only minimal bandwidth and processor requirements are needed, regardless of the number of video streams and resolution. There’s also no additional video delay through the system. Additionally, RouteMaster Lite does not become a central point of failure: If the router system fails for any reason, video continues to flow from sources to destinations uninterrupted.
RouteMaster Lite is ideal for OB and production environments, supporting up to 20 sources and 20 destinations. For larger systems with more complex requirements, the same NDI switching technology is available in the full-featured RouteMaster system.
The built-in GUI is ideal for preset and take switching, showing resizeable video previews and audio metering of the current video and the chosen source.
External Control

Video switcher function (MFR-31VP)
Add an MFR-31VP card to expand the unit with 1 M/E and 20 inputs/13 outputs video switcher function. Take advantage of NDI®/NDI®|HX I/O and 4 keyers for P-in-P or downstream keying. Frame synchronization, 12G-SDI, audio mixing/de-mixing, and other expansion are supported with other options.

Send or receive video and audio, control signals, and tally control over IP. With NewTek NDI® Tools installed, MFR-3100EX supports meeting collaboration software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.
Video streaming function (MFR-31VP)
Provides RTMP and SRT support. Upload video directly to YouTube, Facebook, or other streaming services. YouTube streaming can be checked by scanning a QR code with a smartphone.
SSD
SSD storage function (MFR-31VP) can be installed. It enables recording/playing video and audio. Material supplied via SDI or over the network can be encoded and saved as files. Saved files can be decoded for output via SDI or over the network.
Multi viewer function
Multi viewer function is a standard feature of the built-in web server, which provides a web-based control interface. Add MFR-16MV cards for more sophisticated viewer capabilities such as dual output and clock display.
Browser-based multi viewer
Check source material easily through the built-in web server, saving outputs for other sources. For input channels (1–64) and video switcher function output, up to 64 windows can be displayed per screen.
MFR-16MV
Up to 2 outputs/16 split-windows are available with an optional MFR-16MV installed. Unlike conventional systems that require allocation of 1 output per window displayed by an external multi viewer, this functionality reduces multi viewer output allocation to 1 output per monitor. Because of the MFR-16V’s ability to handle multiple outputs, all signals sent to those destinations can be monitored on the MFR-16MV. Up to 16 split-windows and 2 types of clock display are supported.
Routing switcher function
With its routing switcher function, the MFR-3100EX can be configured for a matrix up to 64x72, with 4 inputs/4 outputs for 8K signals or 16 inputs/18 outputs for 4K UHD. Matrix expansion and redundancy is possible by using multiple units together. With options, conversion between 12G-SDI, Quad Link 3G-SDI, and mapping formats (2SI and SQD) are also available. A variety of cross-point controls are supported in addition to standard cross-point switching.
Multi-format video input and output, and MUX and DEMUX audio are available
Support for 3G/HD/SD-SDI and DVB-ASI input and output. No need to worry about signal formats, thanks to auto signal detection. Add up to 8 inputs cards and up to 9 outputs card, with 8 channels per card. Can mix and match non-SDI modules as needed. Optimizes the system to install frame synchronizer function for input, and ADVL function for outputs. Audio MUX and DEMUX functions also offer greater video and audio compatibility.
Connectivity with other products
Connectivity with other products including FOR-A video switchers and multi viewers via ethernet or serial ports. MFR routing switcher cross-points can be controlled from HVS video switchers and HVS and MFR exchange tally information with each other. Integrated management of source names by MFR, which automatically send source names to HVS and MV multi viewers. Source names and tally linkage between MFR and MV are controlled by TSL protocol.

Frame sync and proc amp functionality is provided for all inputs, with safety markers for each output. The HDMI port supports audio output, and, as a 2.0b port, HD or 4K output, with the latter enabling display of HD images in 4 quadrants. Expand input or output for either model with a variety of optional I/O cards.

The control panel has been laid out specifically with professionals in mind with a design that leverages the knowledge of expert operators. It includes dedicated bus buttons, AUX buttons, a fader controller and direct user buttons for various functions. The main unit offers exceptional expandability to facilitate the addition of a redundant power source unit and various input/output cards.

Similar to the HVS-190S in use, this compact video switcher is designed for portability. The inclusion of ample video input and output functionality makes it ideal for use in small broadcast vans and helicopters.
Like HVS-190S, it can be used with an optional redundant PSU and a range of I/O cards.
