Delta-Stadium is a new system developed by Deltacast and distributed by 3D Storm. It’s a complete turnkey solution to generate and display 2D and 3D graphics for pre-game animations and presentations, clocks, animated scores, statistics management, actions, referee decisions and more. Delta-Stadium includes one sport interface (soccer, rugby, basketball or baseball) and a new generic interface, which allows the user to create a custom inteface.

Real-time ray tracing

InfinitySet takes full advantage of the latest hardware developments found in NVIDIA RTX GPU technology. By using NVIDIA Quadro RTX GPUs, InfinitySet can deliver real-time ray tracing, which provides a much more accurate rendering, especially with complex light conditions.

PBR and HDR

InfinitySet fully supports PBR shaders as materials and can also be imported from external shader editing software. Augmented Reality and Broadcast Graphics

Broadcast graphics have specific requirements that are far beyond from what a Game Engine can do.

TeleTransporter

This feature seamlessly combines 3D virtual sets with real characters and live or pre-recorded video feeds, all moving accordingly with precise matching of perspective, color, shadows, reflections or focus.

InfinitySet allows the incorporation of external post-production tracking hardware and software data along with real-time tracking data, combining both with any object or set on the scene. Also, external tracking data coming from real cameras or third-party tracking software can be included as metadata in live feeds or pre-recorded videos, and immediately be transferred and applied to the virtual camera’s parameters.

3D Presenter

Converts the talent into a 3D object, achieved by generating a true 3D representation of the talent from a video feed. The presenter becomes an actual 3D object embedded within the virtual set. 3D Presenter features:

•Casts real shadows and reflections of the talent from virtual lights over virtual and real objects.

•Allows for interaction of the talent with 3D elements in the virtual set.

•Adds volumetric lighting for selective illumination and color correction of the talent, the lights interact in a realistic manner with the talent’s 3D volume.

Enables talents to move freely around the green screen theatre matching their movements within the 3D space. Presenters are allowed to move forward, backwards and sideways with precise perspective matching even though the real camera is in a fixed position.

HandsTracking brings gestures to life, so presenters can trigger animations, graphics or data with a simple movement of the hands and without the need for any additional costly and complex tracking devices.

VideoGate

Thanks to VideoGate, a presenter in the virtual set can walk into a virtual screen, into the featured news, and be part of the video itself with full realism regardless it is shown full screen or as part of the set.

The talent enters and exits the video with full precise and accurately matched perspective, and once inside the clip it behaves correctly in terms of spatial reference and with the inclusion of realistic shadows, defocus etc.

Real Set Virtualization

InfinitySet can use real, live or pre-recorded footage to use it as the background for the chroma keyed talent. The original stage can be recorded in pre-determined shots, and the chroma keyed talent that is recorded in a remote station can then use the original studio’s shots, including its tracking data if available, to be tele-transported to that set, therefore seeming they are placed physically on that set.

This functionality allows a remote talent to enter any stage at any time, while seamlessly mixing real and virtual elements.

VideoCAVE

Brainstorm’s VideoCAVE feature is a Mixed Reality application which uses monitors on a real set to behave as a CAVE multiple window, with virtual elements coming in from the virtual windows to the real scene as seen from the tracked broadcast camera.

The CAVE concept is the acronym of “Cave Automatic Virtual Environment”, and is related to a multiple virtual window, an immersive virtual reality environment where projections are directed to a cube or room space.

Selective defocus and bokeh

InfinitySet can even match the depth-of-field of the presenter with that of the scene.

Using the real camera’s parameters, InfinitySet is able to create a selective defocus and bokeh effects on the virtual scene adding an even more realistic effect to the final rendered composition.

Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality requires the interaction between sets, talents and virtual objects, often created out of external data sources. These in-context data driven objects allow for visually engaging and better explained representations of the data.

Motion graphics

X-Pert Graphics is a sophisticated, yet extremely user-friendly on-air CG and graphics manager. It lets you create different static or dynamic objects such as rolls, crawls, multi-layered simultaneous still pictures, analog, and digital clocks, animated logos, etc., and save them in projects. Those could easily be used for direct broadcasting or as customized templates for future use. In addition, the application has a built-in Scheduler that lets you start objects from a previously created project(s) at different times.

 

X-Pert Graphics can run as a standalone solution or in the background, without its front-end interface. This allows all objects and slide actions to be triggered by third-party OEM software that sends its script commands via a network protocol.

 

The solution is designed to work in sync with X-Pert Playout. Objects in X-Pert Graphics to be started or stopped by using X-Pert Playout. This is achieved by inserting X-Pert Graphics net control events in the X-Pert Playout playlist. Control can also be automated using scripts triggered by metadata conditions from X-Pert Playout. The playlist metadata value from X-Pert Playout can be sent to the text objects.

The M-WEBKEY IP/SDI web page keyer provides a cost-effective alternative to a full graphics system. It's ideal for channel branding as well as providing news, weather, advert and emergency information overlays for both IP and SDI infrastructures.

The M-WEBKEY is unique because it can key a web page on to a video input. With traditional keying, the external key and fill have to be created and output as video which requires expensive dedicated character generator hardware, whereas keying a web page means that the key and fill source never become video.

The M-WEBKEY allows Flow 1 or a matte to be set as the background source, with the overlaid foreground source and key signal (which defines the graphic's location and transparency) coming from the URL that is entered. The M-WEBKEY plus a web designer and web server could provide all the graphics for a channel.

The M-WEBKEY can be used with IP (ST 2022 and ST 2110 video), with SDI or with both IP and SDI at the same time for hybrid systems. This gives you the easiest possible SDI to IP upgrade, while also making it perfect for mixed SDI and IP installations as well as fully IP or fully SDI environments. It works with 31 different video standards, including 1080p.

Features include the ability to fade the key up and down, crops to force areas of background or foreground, a framestore synchroniser plus ten frames of video delay to help with system integration and extensive signal monitoring.

The M-PIP has been designed for IP or SDI playout applications that need one or two picture-in-picture boxes to be inset on the main programme or a coloured background.

Picture-in-picture functionality has previously only been available as part of some production mixers, channel-in-a-box systems and master control mixers. As a dedicated double box generator, the M-PIP therefore provides a cost-effective solution for those who only require picture-in-picture functionality, while it can also be used to add extra capability to a standard playout or studio system.

Up to two boxes can be inset on the programme or matte background when required, either by selecting the required foreground flow source or by using preset recall. Controls are available to independently size and position the two boxes on the screen, as well as to manipulate the size and position of the images inside those boxes. A coloured border, as well as edge softness, can be applied to each box if required. The boxes can be faded up and down, while the background can be faded out to black. The M-PIP provides 16 presets which can be used to create and store different looks for the boxes and then be recalled by using Crystal Vision's ASCII or JSON protocols in conjunction with the broadcaster's own control system, or alternatively by using the company's VisionWeb control software.
